Qualifications:

Gas Engineering Pressure Control is seeking a dynamic professional to join its team. The Senior Engineer is responsible for with minimal guidance, performs, or directs specific engineering assignments or whatever complexity associated with the design, fabrication, and field reconstruction of gas distribution and transmission regulator stations, pressure controllers, and SCADA system equipment. Activities also include the evaluation and development of new remote system controls and SCADA configurations. The integration of these SCADA systems to the mechanical regulator systems. Makes independent decisions on engineering problems associated with designs and construction of these activities. Establishes specifications for contracts, reviews bids from company and transmission pipeline companies, and will make / approve design changes. Provides technical expertise to other departments. Direct the administration and coordination of Pressure Control field crews, I&C; technicians, Gas Control and ERC personnel during planned and emergency activities. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical with 8 years of engineering work experience. Must have extensive knowledge of design, repair, and maintenance of gas distribution systems, pressure regulating stations / equipment, power generation (as applicable), mechanical and controls systems, as well as associated equipment. Working knowledge of gas transmission and distribution system, regulator stations, ROV’s, and general system operation. Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations concerning pressure regulation equipment/designs is required. Must also possess demonstrated experience with SCADA equipment, controls, electronic hardware, software and field equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required. Available for emergency work 24/7 as required by system conditions. Must be capable or working at elevations and within tunnels. Must successfully pass background check
