Bring along your passion and do your life's best work.(sm) The Sr. Creative Manager reports directly to the Graphics Team Lead under Proposal Operations. Responsible for providing proposal graphic support to the Optum Proposal Team (OPT) including Payer, Provider, Government and Employer markets. The Sr. Creative Manager is responsible for conceptualizing and producing consistent high quality impactful graphics in OPT Request for Proposals (RFP). Candidates must be able to grasp complex processes, understand multiple products and develop compelling visual elements to incorporate into our proposals. Candidates must be able to work quickly and independently. Candidates must be familiar with proposal practices, open to change, positive, responsive and agile in order to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and other proposal department personnel. Candidates must be comfortable with change and managing work in a high volume quick turnaround proposal environment. Candidates must have strong technical illustration skills, desktop publishing skills, PPT skills, Adobe Creative Suite and has a solid understanding of complex processes. Primary Responsibilities:Coordinates and executes a variety of marketing and collateral project designs under the direction of management in an accurate and timely manner, while understanding the business objectives and requirements Produces high quality, timely graphics for OPT proposal responses Designs, layouts, and reformats graphic files to print specifications while meeting deadlines and considering print limitations and government regulations Collaborates with the Brand and Marketing teams to develop corporate - focused materials and templates Works exceptionally as part of a team with internal partners by providing proactive engagement in projects and ongoing updates around the creative development process Highly collaborative, responsive and works quickly to complete graphics in a fast paced environment. Ability to use sound judgement and adapt to changing demands Develop expertise of the Optum brand, culture and processes Generates vector graphics and product illustrations for use as design components in print materials Follows graphic engagement process for Pink, Blue & Final draft reviews, conceptualization, incorporating new graphics into proposal draft, updating existing graphics, flagging new / revised graphics for content capture, identifying reusable graphics, uploading to online Optum Marketing library, Shared Drive, Salesforce and Kanban closeout activities Stay abreast of current design trends and software Manage and work with team and internal partners to keep files and image library organized Required Qualifications:Associate’s Degree or higher in Art related field 5 years working in graphic design and / branding Experience creating business proposals and presentations Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint (including charts, graphs, animation) Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite of Applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work in both Mac and Windows environments Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal guidance and proactively seek guidance on very complex tasks in a fast - paced environment Excellent interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills Ability to flawlessly manage simultaneous projects with competing demandsPreferred Qualifications:Ad / Creative agency experience, either from internships or full - time experience Animation experience Project management experience within a matrix organization Organizational, multitasking, and timeline management skills Ability to work in a fast - paced environmentCareers with Optum.
