SR. BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR: 401(K), DEFERRED COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYEE STOCK PURCHASE PLANS JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the administration and management of the Companys 401(k), Deferred Compensation, and Employee Stock Purchase Plans. Requires working independently with outside vendors, attorneys, auditors, and consultants in the day-to-day administration of the plans. Ensure legal compliance of plans working with vendors and HR/Payroll teams. Responsible for developing employee communication to improve plan participation and enhance employee financial education. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legal requirements as well as the design and administration of the 401(k), Deferred Compensation and Employee Stock Purchase Plans. Responsible for understanding the Airgas HRIS and payroll system and the respective vendors systems. Also, must gain an understanding of the data transfer process between Airgas and the vendors. Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of the reporting tools within the Airgas HRIS and payroll systems and the reporting tools of each vendor. Coordinate with outside vendors and consultants, Treasury, Tax, Accounting, and Finance departments, Legal resources, and Air Liquide peers as needed related to day-to-day plan administration and compliance. Support merger and acquisition activity. Complete activity required to transfer funds between employer plans, manage outstanding loan transitions, and terminate plans as required after final asset transfer is completed. Manage activity for quarterly asset transfers related to employee transfers between Air Liquide and Airgas entities. Participate in the analysis of any potential impact of plan design changes related to cost, administration, system interfaces, communication, etc. Responsible for managing any data interface or operational modifications needed to accommodate approved changes. Responsible for developing and applying testing criteria and data edits to ensure that vendors have modified their systems to accommodate changes. Responsible for the timely reconciliation of the 401(k) and Deferred Compensation Plan contribution files with the recordkeeper (2x per week), including the review and follow-up on all outstanding edits working with our Payroll teams to resolution, and ensure timely funding notification to Treasury and Accounting/Finance departments for plan contribution files within 72 hours. Responsible for annual audit of the 401(k) plan working with the Finance department and outside auditors, as well as the review of the audited financial statements and completed draft IRS Form 5500. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service with timely research and response to questions raised by employees, Divisional HR teams, and Payroll departments about plan provisions and operations Create and distribute via e-delivery employee communications for the 401(k), Deferred Compensation and Employee Stock Purchase Plans
