What SEC Reporting contributes to Cardinal HealthSEC Reporting is responsible for the preparation and review of financial information to be released outside of the organization as well as for the research, interpretation, and communication of complex accounting matters.Provides accounting guidance to business partners related to proposed transactions to ensure conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as company policies and procedures.Conducts research regarding the impact to financial statements of potential changes to accounting rules proposed by accounting standards setters, and advises management regarding the same.Ensures all SEC reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.Ensures that relevant accounting standards are appropriately and consistently applied.Prepares and reviews consolidated financial statements and all other required disclosures to maintain compliance with the SEC and GAAP.Sets and complies with accounting policies.Defines and executes internal controls to manage financial risk.What is expected of you and others at this levelApplies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasksWorks on projects of moderate scope and complexityIdentifies possbile solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolveApplies judgment within defined parametersReceives general guidance may receive more detailed instruction on new projectsWork reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracyAccountabilities in this rolePerform monthly/quarterly close responsibilities related to: preparation and recording of journal entries, accrual adjustments, intercompany loan schedules and other close activities for Corporate International entities.Perform monthly reconciliation of management accounts to SAP/HFM in local currency and USD.Accounting for foreign currency adjustments for certain transactions.Support third party firms performing Corporate International accounting outside the United States.Coordinate and support annual international statutory audits and financial statement preparation for Cardinal Health international entities.Review accounting policies and processes. Provide recommendations for improvements.Provide support for SEC accounting group, assisting with quarterly and annual financial statement preparation. Support Manager and Director in special project requests or ad-hoc assignments.Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field, preferably Accounting, or equivalent work experience2 years of experience in related fieldCPA preferredPosted YesterdayFull time20027003
