Key Responsibilities:

With input from subject matter experts, develops policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, revisions, notices, and other technical and regulatory guidance material for employees

Author, revise, publish, and reconcile Cargo Operation manuals

Ensures content of Cargo produced manuals do not conflict with other HA manuals within M&E and other company produced manuals

Develops transmittals for manual revisions and other materials that aid in identifying and communicating the significant changes

Provides updates to Cargo Training for incorporation in training material and course syllabus

Facilitates working group meetings with applicable department SMEs to coordinate cross-departmental policies and procedures

Develop content and update internal Cargo website

Provides support to the Cargo SMS – Safety Management System program to include but not limited to documentation, retention, meeting minutes, action logs etc.

Assist with researching and processing Cargo claims

Respond and provide research to regulatory inquires including fines, letters of investigation (LOI), Safety Attribute Inspections (SAI), etc.

Incorporate PDF based supplemental manuals into SGML based manuals to allow full search and effectivity based searches

Review, edit, and critique the technical content of deliverables produced by peer in the Department.

Respond to questions related to operational manuals and standard operating procedures

Construct PowerPoint presentations and assist with special projects

Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors’ degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience

2 years Technical Writing experience

Knowledgeable on regulatory agency publications and practices, FAA, TSA, CBP, or Airpoort Authorities.

Excellent knowledge of both common office software and document authoring and control software. Web and database experience highly desirable

Familiarity with basic operation manuals and standard operating procedures

Demonstrated skills in both written and verbal communications across all levels management and working units.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines

Customer Service oriented with the ability to create strong positive relations with others

Excellent organization and planning skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability and five years of progressively responsible experience in airline or other transportation field

Hawaiian Airlines was incorporated on January 30, 1929 under the name Inter-Island Airways Ltd.
