Job Description
We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist, located in Midland, Michigan area.  Domicile This Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and managing contracts in the construction, maintenance of structures, facilities or systems. \r
This position creates value by (1) providing appropriate input into the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and commercial agreements and (2) negotiating assigned construction agreements, prepares contracts or negotiates revisions to contractual agreements with architects, general contractors, EPC firms, construction companies, contractors, consultants, Integrated Facilities Management suppliers, clients, other suppliers, and subcontractors.\r
This team member is responsible for various sourcing activities pertaining to capital projects, run the business / operational facilities services and contract management, as well providing support to the Project Procurement Leader in implementing and executing strategy and agreements.  Our team is focused on offering superb partner engagement as we establish close relationships with our clients, partners and suppliers enabling us to deliver total procurement benefits, value beyond cost - and ultimately, ensure delivery of products and services that result in customer success.\r
Critical responsibilities include:\r

\r
\tLead or assist in the execution of Sourcing Projects using the Strategic Sourcing Process.\r
\tImplement commercial agreements and associated work processes for products and services as delegated by the Sourcing Manager and/or the Project Procurement Leader.\r
\tIdentify Value Recovery opportunities for B&C item spending and define/implement associated projects.\r
\tMaintain basic knowledge of suppliers and relevant market developments such as mergers and acquisitions, financial status and changes in key personnel. Communicate where applicable to the Supplier Management Action Teams (SMATs).\r
\tUtilize available Sourcing tools (e.g. e-RFx, E-sourcing, etc.) to the fullest capability, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Purchasing process.\r
\tDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers, and effectively manage quality service / product performance issues with suppliers.\r
\tExecute contractual obligations within the delegated scope of responsibility and legal authority.\r

\tWorking knowledge of purchasing fundamentals and procurement work processes and policies\r
\tExperience in and working knowledge of the construction industry including typical sourcing strategies that are utilized in this industry.\r
\tAbility to focus on value delivery and maintaining sustainable competitive advantages\r
\tEffective negotiator and able to persuade others (internal and external clients) through effective communication skills\r
\tFinancial and market analysis skills, and effectively manipulate and analyze data\r
\tInitiative to challenge inefficiencies and process deviations\r
\tStrong data analysis skills to effectively identify value opportunities\r
\tProficiency with applicable Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)\r
\tThe ability to work across cultures and geographies\r

Qualifications\r
\r
\r
\tBasic/Required Qualifications:\r
\tMinimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.  Prefer engineering discipline.\r
\tMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience; Prefer experience in construction, industrial/manufacturing or engineering related professional position that includes negotiating contracts with suppliers.\r

\tPurchasing payment options and use of automation tools\r
\tPrefer Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, or project management experience\r
\tFamiliarity with standard Work Process Methodology that pertains to the area of responsibility\r
\tA minimum requirement for this U.S. - based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (must be a U.S. citizen, U.S.) Permanent Resident or qualifying Asylee/Refugee).\r
