Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

Responsibilities

Work cross-functionally with the ASIC Design team and foundries, to define a SOC package mechanical, thermal, electrical and reliability requirements.

Overcome technical challenges related to package reliability, materials, assembly, process and performance.

Manage collaboration with OSATs and material suppliers to ensure package performance and manufacturability in high volume.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

BS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in silicon product reliability engineering.

Experience in silicon product and package level reliability, qualification and compliance.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with silicon failure analysis methods.

Experience resolving reliability issues with foundries and/or IP providers.

Ability to design reliability hardware setups and equipment for HTOL, HAST, ESD and Latch-up.
