As the Senior Vertical Marketing Manager, Financial Services (Fiserv), you will act in a strategic capacity to lead our Fiserv marketing engine including developing the go-to-market strategy that enables the achievement of business objectives and revenue targets across applicable regions supported by the Global Marketing Organization. You will bring an industry lens to everything we do to ensure our programs, messages, and content address specific business problems our FiServ customers face. You will have (1) direct report, a Vertical Marketing Manager for FiServ, who will partner with you in the creation and execution of our marketing strategy with a particular focus on driving our various marketing programs across the buyer\u2019s journey and applicable segments and regions.
Reporting to our Director of Vertical and Segment Marketing, you enjoy the opportunity to work with and influence all levels of the organization including: Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Regional & Segment Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Automation, Sales Enablement and our Content and Brand marketing team. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Develop, execute and measure a strategic and tactical industry plan across all stages of the buyer\u2019s journey to deliver and exceed against marketing KPIs (# of inquiries, leads, opportunities and conversion rates) and revenue targets for relevant markets and regions
Drives marketing launches and proactively manages these accordingly; this will include guiding cross functional team efforts to ensure overall successful solution deployment.
Develops or curates product content in the FiServ vernacular (e.g. playbooks, solution briefs, case studies, blog posts, sales training materials).
Analyzes and documents the customer buying process
Builds buyer personas, or refines existing buyer personas based on vertical knowledge
Collaborates with sales enablement, and/or sales operations on a well-defined sales enablement plan
Align and work cross-functionally across all marketing teams including: Content, Brand, Events, US Segment, Regional, Product, Digital & Automation & Operations in the planning, creation and execution of marketing strategy
Analyzes performance including win/loss analysis, concepts for new solutions, and competitive offerings in conjunction with customer data to determine new solution concepts & take to market strategies.
Plays a leadership role in influencing future product & solutions roadmaps based on market research and new market trends for all applicable markets and regions
Leading and managing (1) direct report
5-7 years\u2019 experience in a go-to-market role, with a significant portion in product management and/or marketing
Industry knowledge and expertise in the Financial Services industry \u2013 preferred
Strong background in understanding go-to-market, product strategies, and product lifecycle
Ability to understand and communicate product and business line value differentiators
Ability to create and deliver product enablement for sales and other audiences
Experience in working across business units to connect with sales resources, buyers and other stakeholders
Being a people manager and/or leading and influencing others
Previous sales enablement experience a plus.
Experience with product marketing and management frameworks/models. Sirius Decisions preferred.
Strong writer and communicator
Able to develop strategies to drive demand and awareness within target verticals
Strong business acumen
Collaborative and creative approach to problem solving.
Nimble; quickly adapt to fast moving environment with competing and shifting priorities.
