What Instructional Design & Development contributes to Cardinal Health\r
Instructional Design & Development is responsible for creating and implementing blended learning solutions.Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning principles and concepts, instructional design theory, and measurement and evaluation methods.Consults with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify performance needs and recommend solutions.Uses instructional design methodology to design, develop and/or deliver blended learning solutions.Evaluates and measures instructional solutions to gauge effectiveness.Partners with external vendors to ensure programs/products meet requirements and objectives.Uses e-learning authoring software programs to develop and deliver interactive training experiences.Follows Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions while partnering with members of the Learning Technologies Team to add, administer and maintain training in the learning management system.Facilitates instructor-led training demonstrating effective use of presentation/facilitation tools, techniques, and materials, etc.\r

Accountabilities\r
This position will design and deliver training. The ideal candidate will have experience designing instructor led training including virtual training.\r
The Learning Function is responsible for facilitating instructor-led training (ILT), evaluating courses and managing training processes association with ILT.Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning principles and concepts, instructional design theory, and measurement and evaluation methods.Consults with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify performance needs and recommend solutions.Uses instructional design methodology to design, develop and/or deliver blended learning solutions.Evaluates and measures instructional solutions to gauge effectivenessPartners with external vendors to ensure programs/products meet requirements and objectives.Partners with external vendors to ensure programs/products meet requirements and objectives.Uses ELearning authoring software programs to develop and deliver interactive training experiences.Follows Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions while partnering with members of the Learning Technologies team to add, administer and maintain training in the learning management system.Facilitates instructor-led training demonstrating effective use of presentation/facilitation tools, techniques, and materials, etc.\r
Specific Duties:Responsible for the creation of all new knowledge, maintenance of existing knowledge; working across multiple technology teams, business teams and ServiceUniversity.Ensures all documentation produced is consistent with standards and includes appropriate content and depth for each topic.Responsible for the success of the knowledge transfer activities associated with each assigned request or project.Provide in depth knowledge and expertise in developing/enhancing processes and methodologiesInterviews key project participants and documents findings.Reviews existing documentation and extracts relevant information regarding key processes and tools.Validates accuracy of documentation through an appropriate review process.Produces statistical reporting against process effectiveness, knowledge usage and audit resultsProvides regular communications regarding the status of required activities.Participates in regular project status meetings.May also participate in other key projects such as process design and performance management activities.Curates content to prevent duplication of materials or outdated contentEstablish an overall governance process around content input and updates.\r
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience2 years experience in related field preferredPrevious product training experience a plusExperience with Kirkpatrick's model to evaluate the effectiveness of training, preferredApplies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks.Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity.Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve.Applies judgment within defined parameters.Receives general guidance, may receive more detailed instructions on new projects.Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy.Acts as liaison between business owners/subject matter experts (SMEs) and integration teams to Service University.Ability to discern what is currently used and what needs to be used for the audience in the salesforce.com system.
