Responsible for supporting the execution of company-wide strategy through various publications and programs to align and engage employees with the company vision and goals. Responsible for applying strategic thinking, planning, writing, editing, research and measurement to create and implement results-focused communications programs that support company business goals. Provides guidance and subject matter counsel to other junior team members, up to and including management of work deliverables.
Develops concepts, designs, writes, edits, and delivers communications to intended audiences for assigned area. Communications will focus on executive and strategic messages for one or more executives and his/her leaders.
Leads the development and deployment of multiple aspects of employee communications ensuring the accuracy, readability and ease of comprehension of the information.
Collaborates with executive leaders and/or project teams to develop comprehensive communications plans
Runs the internal communications programs for major initiatives, proactively identifying communication needs from inception to completion. Programs may include research methods, such as surveys and focus groups, developing key messaging by collaborating with communications and leaders, and planning communication through a variety of communication vehicles.
Supports specific and targeted communications, including emails, speechwriting, video scripts, presentations, websites and newsletters, by either producing them or guiding other team members or freelancers to develop the content.
Collaborates routinely with other communications functions to ensure consistent and accurate messaging and delivery. Consults with junior level team members regarding content and overall messaging to include overseeing the work output of other team members.
Manages and analyzes multiple feedback mechanisms and builds action plans to respond to major themes. Develops metrics data to measure success of internal communication vehicles
Counsels company executives on messaging, timing, and tone in all their communication needs.
Prepares for crisis change management issues and proactively develops plans to mitigate major resistance disruptive to the initiative's success.

Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience or High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 years of experience; the experience should be in corporate communications, journalism or reporting.
Experience must include 2-4 years owning and developing executive level strategic communications
Experience publishing features or news stories, as demonstrated by 3 - 5 writing samples
Experience analyzing and framing strategic issues and transforming into influential or persuasive language.
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
Experience communicating both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (articles, emails, letters, reports, presentations) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, prospective acquisitions, external clients).
Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or English with at least 6 years of experience - or - High School Diploma/GED and at least 9 years of experience. The experience should be in corporate communications, journalism or reporting.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: adding developer tab, creating a macro, formatting table style, inserting comments and/or creating a mail merge)
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Experience creating and delivering communication programs aligned with business goals.
Experience counseling senior management.
