Full Time Opportunity for a Senior IT Software Developer

Overview of Position:

Assist management with development and upgrades necessary for the DaVita Medical Group Intranet, external website, and many other web based applications in direct support of administration and clinical demand management requests. Design, develop and maintain interfaces to specified standards. Participate in delivery of company and team goals specifically in the demand management space for requests for development of web-based solution sets in direct support of administration and clinical needs. Integral part of an IT applications development and team oriented environment which fosters positive feedback, continuous technical development/training, continual improvement methods, customer support and positive relationship building and application change management especially within the development team and the clients. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Essential Functions:

Assist in developing up to date technical web programming development standards using the latest tool-sets. This would include continuous improvement methods to support and align technology and our Internal Development Environment (IDE) with the business needs and produce rapid results in support of these businesses. Implement and deploy demand management requests for Clinical Operations and Administration organizations.

Communicate with the customer to make sure all understand the interface specification, develop interface implementation schedule, and successfully test and support interfaces.

Ensure production interfaces are functional 24 by 7. Assist with implementation of interfaces and resolve any issues relating to the interfaces as they arise during testing or later as part of interface support. Provide interface and database status as necessary. Develop and maintain specifications for interfaces to be implemented.

Maintain key relationships with the businesses and key change agents in clinical operations and administration.

Assist in developing quality control measures, testing measures, and the accuracy of data standards to support deployment of solutions for the businesses in IT.

Follow development processes and procedures that would include: business requirements and scoping of demand management requests, technical specification processes, and the development of solution sets for the clinical operations and administrative organizations.

Manage and study the latest technical development technologies and utilize these to position IT development and programming techniques and methodologies to enhance IT support of the entire organization.

Education:

Required - Bachelors degree in Computer Science.

Preferred - Microsoft Developer Certification.

Experience:

Required - four (4) years of experience in Web Development and Programming; Preferred - Prior experience with Electronic Data Interface (EDI) transactions, preferably in a health care environment; work history of successful software design and utilization of latest technologies in Microsoft Visual Studio and C#; .Net environment using Microsoft's SQL server and Windows Server environment; visual Studio 2005-2008 .Net, Microsoft's SQL Server, Middleware, API builds, C#, VB, Java, ASPX, Ajax, LINQ, and scripting.

Preferred - Health Care experience; Windows mobile wireless device software development, like: Windows CE or Windows Mobile.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to think objectively and make sound business and technical decisions. Effective business communication and presentation skills. Flexibility, strong interpersonal, analytical, technical and problem solving attributes. Understands the IT environment well and specializations within IT and relationship building with customers to meet their needs. Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and their deployment strategies. Knowledge and/or experience with transaction processing and interface development and support desired. Experience with ASP.Net, SQL, SharePoint, WinForms, SSIS and data modeling. Understanding and experience with object oriented programming, software design and application architecture.
