Senior Quality Analyst - Test Management - Back Office

As defined in the Service Validation and Testing processes in the ITIL® Service Transition process area, the Quality Assurance and Testing Manager's role is to manage the testing and validation of new services and infrastructure coming into IT Operations. Duties include:

Working with Project Managers and technical staff to design and plan testing conditions, test scripts and test data sets during the service design stage of the service lifecycle, to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control.

Allocating and overseeing test resources, ensuring compliance with test policies.

Verifying tests conducted by release and deployment management or other teams.

Managing test environment requirements.

Planning and managing support for service testing and validation tools and processes

Providing management reporting on test progress, test outcomes, success rates, issues and risks

Conducting tests as defined in the test plans and designs, and documented in the service design package

Recording, analysing, diagnosing, reporting and managing test events, incidents, problems and retest dependent on agreed criteria

Administering test assets and components

Building, delivering and maintaining required test environments

Qualifications

Experience in creating Test Strategies and Plans

Experience developing functional tests

Experience in test automation, performance testing, capacity and load testing

Experience using LoadRunner, Quality Center, Tosca, Selenium or similar test automation and test management applications

Experience

The position requires five or more years of experience as a Quality Assurance or Product Test professional with demonstrable experience in:

Creating Test Strategies and Plans

Developing functional test scripts and test sets

Test automation using LoadRunner, Selenium, Tosca and / or similar software tools

Test Management using HP Quality Center, ServiceNow, Tosca, and / or similar test management applications

Education

A Bachelor’s degree (BS) or higher in a technical discipline is preferred and expected, but not specifically required if the appropriate levels of skill and experience in Quality Assurance and Testing can be demonstrated.
