Kiewit Bridge & Marine District

Kiewit’s Bridge & Marine District is headquartered in Vancouver, Washington. We primarily perform heavy civil projects specializing in technical bridges, transportation, roadways, and underground utilities, while developing builders who will lead the company into the future.

We are currently looking for a Senior Proposal Manager to manage the proposal group and drive continuous improvmenet for the Proposal group's pursuit process and proposal best practices.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee Kiewit Bridge and Marine's Proposal group delegating responsibilities and setting goals.

• Manage proposal process to create and coordinate responsibility matrix defining roles, deadlines and assignments

• Manage proposal process to assess level of effort for pursuits and resourcing of personnel from KIPG, Kiewit districts and external partners

• Manage pursuit work plan with District’s capture manager, lead estimator and partners

• Facilitate strategy and storyboarding sessions

• Lead proposal kick-off meetings, milestone reviews and recovery periods

• Develop and maintain best practices and templates, data platform and style guides

• Interview and develop content, technical writing and editing

• Brainstorm with graphic designers the technical and informational graphics with visual persuasion

• Coordinate production process

• Lead the hiring, training and development of the proposal team

• Other duties as requested by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• 10 years of proposal coordinator experience in A/E/C industry with an emphasis on $100 million qualifications-based/design-build, design-build-operate-maintain, and CM/GC projects

• History of working on transportation-, Federal- and water/wastewater- based pursuits

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Journalism, English, Construction Management or equivalent required

• Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Expertise Required:

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization and active listening skills

• Strong emotional intelligence

• Good interviewing and editing/writing skills

• Self-motivated with ability to work well with professionals from various backgrounds

• Ability to manage multiple projects to consistently meet high standards and be attentive to quality

• Driven for results and deadlines
