Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for our IT team at GGP to lead projects for our Digital Real Estate program focused primarily on Business Development & Leasing solutions hosted on the Salesforce platform. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong track record of delivering world-class IT project management in an organization investing in rapidly-evolving technologies and capabilities for our employees and across our 120 shopping centers throughout the United States.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering solutions that provide exceptional value to the business. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent high visibility projects that may cross several business departments using Agile-Lean methods in a fast-paced environment. This position will also be a significant contributor to the 3-year roadmap for the program with a key emphasis on measuring that the intended objectives were met or exceeded. Past experience with retail real estate projects is a big plus or the ability to quickly learn functional aspects of the retail real estate vertical is necessary. Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning and Management –

Learn and Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Business Development and Leasing business capabilities and processes.

Contribute to the strategic 3-year program roadmap with a focus on advancing business goals through leading edge innovative technologies and optimized processes.

Work closely with the senior leaders, leasing and business development representatives, business analysts, and developers to define feature sets, project scope, and schedule.

Organize and lead program status and/or scrum meetings; manage and communicate risks and issues; facilitate and manage vendor evaluations, and contracts.

Team Building & Management –

Build rapport and strong relationships with business departments, sponsors, and program team members

Promote empowerment of the program team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged and making a meaningful contribution

Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work even while they won’t directly report to you.

Leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentor and develop team members.

Process Management and Improvement –

Create and continuously measure program metrics were achieved and correct deviations from plans.

Drive sprint and program retrospective sessions and manage outcomes.

Implement an effective system of program governance.

Ensure program and ongoing change management activities are successfully planned and executed.

Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile-Lean Project Management.


Qualifications and Experience:

Solid understanding of the Agile software development life cycle.

An innovative and entrepreneurial mindset to solving problems

Always thinking of different ways of thinking through new technologies and emerging processes.

At least 7-10 years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a rapid development environment with multi-functional teams.

PMP certification a plus but not required.

Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate project management tools.

Experience working in the real estate industry preferred.

Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.

Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.

Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.

Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level.

Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
