Role Summary:

The Sr Project Manager manages software implementation projects of the Ambulatory Care Management (ACM) and Enterprise Financial Management (EFM) solutions for customers. Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes to customers (int and ext). You will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

Proficiently manage the complexities associated with large,enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, and communicate effectively withexecutive-level staff.

Serve as the “face” of assigned programs and projects,interacting with executive leadership to communicate results, status,risks/issues and mitigation strategies.

Concurrently manage multiple projects that are at variousstages in the project life cycle.

Monitor progress of each assigned program/project againstthe overall plan and act with urgency to notify leadership of any issues thatrequire resolution.

Drive to the root cause of lagging programs/projects andwork with executive leadership to define the appropriate mitigation strategies.

Understand the broader business environment, organizationalstrategy and factor this understanding into customer reviews and finalizationof program/project findings and recommendations.

Ability to challenge senior stakeholders on critical successfactors.

Communicate strategic alignment and objectives ofprogram/project to teams

May direct the work of other project managers as part of anoverall program strategy.

Prepare and maintain master schedule for assigned programs.

Assess, recommend andpromote approaches for applying project management methodologies andtechnologies to large scale programs/projects.

Serve as a champion of the PMO and project management bestpractices and standards across the HCIT.

Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews of allprogram/project deliverables and analyses.

Proactively seek to develop own skills and those of teammembers.

Coordinate cross-functional relationship-building andintegration to support program/project success.

Makes continuous improvement a priority by leveragingexperience in advanced project management principles.

Mentors project management resources and project teammembers to share knowledge or serve as an internal coach.

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, QualityManagement System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicablelaws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

Complete all planned Quality & Compliance trainingwithin the defined deadlines.

Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns andtake immediate corrective action as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years’ experience inproject management, or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 10 years progressive experience in project management).

PMP Certification

Previous Healthcare IT project management experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

Desired Characteristics:

Master’s Degree preferred.

Change management experience

Problem resolution and creativity in solution development

Vendor implementation experience

Experience managing revenue generating projects

Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills withstrong executive presence.

Strong presentation skills with the ability to transferknowledge to others and communicate technology to senior management andcustomers in laymen's terms.

Superior negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skillsand a high level of business acumen.

Strong empathy appropriate for partnering at all levels.

Excellent relationship and leadership abilities.

Results driven.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Projectrequired.
