The Architecture & Engineering (A&E) team is a critical Store Development function that provides design, architecture, and engineering services for all new and remodel projects across our vast North American and Mexico fleets.  This team is responsible for delivering high quality drawings end-to-end; from schematic store design to final construction drawings, and closely supports other key functions in the organization to develop, open and operate our stores with expert technical guidance.

The Senior Project Manager of Architecture is primarily responsible for managing store design and architectural execution for new and remodel projects within assigned region(s) and brand focus. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing remodel programs across all brands from program planning to project execution. The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of architectural standards, a basic understanding of construction means and methods, must work well in a team environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Senior Project Manager of Architecture is viewed as an integral team player and works closely with multiple business partners across Real Estate, Real Estate Law, Store Development and Brand functions. This position must also participate in landlord scope and lease negotiations, lead site assessments, develop scope and store design to meet business objectives, and manage the architectural execution of projects. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a portfolio of cross brand projects to meet cost, schedule and quality goals for store design and architectural execution efforts.

Lead with an owner-mindset to understand enterprise business goals and provide A&E support to achieve those goals.

Ensure strong business partnerships and deliver great work in a collaborative manner.

Perform feasibility layout studies and leads site assessments, surveys and due diligence to determine viability of real estate locations.

Partner with Estimating to provide project risk and cost assessments.

Create construction lease exhibits and support Real Estate and Legal teams to negotiate leases and exhibits.

Act as liaison to business partners for Landlord delivery, design, construction drawings and permits.

Manage architecture and engineering consultant service and deliverables, and negotiate project fees, to achieve best-in-class project delivery.

Measure performance utilizing analytics, metrics and scorecards.

Manage permitting process for portfolio of projects.

Act as owner representative for design and field coordination questions and issues.

Contribute to the success of the company through ongoing development and participation in new store designs, programs, pilots and initiatives.

Provide strategic insight and recommendations to improve template standards and processes. ','!*!KEY EXPERIENCES

Thorough understanding of construction sequencing and building codes.

Must be able to travel minimum once per quarter as needed to visit consultant offices or attend site visits.

Minimum Educational Level:

College degree in architecture or design preferred

Minimum Experience:

5 Years minimum of architectural project management experience

3 Years minimum retail design, construction documentation and detailing
