POSITION SUMMARY - (Position can work out of any Aetna/Meritain office with preference to: Amherst, NY, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Plymouth, MN, Tampa, FL, Columbia, SC, or Okemos, MI)
Highly visible new role within Meritain Risk Managements Global Solutions team responsible for engaging with management and key constituents of the organization to transform data into useful information. Responsible for building sustainable reporting mechanisms to empower forward progress and enable transparency against deliverables. Eventually, will transition into a subject matter expert responsible for providing root cause analysis and recommendations for process improvements. The right candidate will transform this role into a business partner who collaborates to develop strategies, initiate change, ensure resources are properly managed and appropriate decision-making occurs to meet business objectives while ensuring excellent, consistent provision of service to our customers in the face of ever-changing and high growth environment.
- Sources data from multiple platforms to provide business with a clear picture of actual performance.
- An understanding of provider contract concepts is also required (e.g. contract terminology, unit price trend, etc.).
- Execution of standardized dashboard reporting including management summaries, automated and systemic daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual performance results (against pre-defined expectations) and trend reporting of inventories, outcomes and root cause analytics for identification and support of cross functional improvement opportunities.
- Development of business analytics across key responsibilities and evolving issues to support understanding, process improvement, and ongoing accountability.
- Identifying and analyzing the impact from both upstream and downstream contributors to issues while partnering across business functions to proactively resolve developing service delivery issues.
- Developing and participating in delivery of information and presentations to internal and external customers as needed.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE - Required:
5-7 years healthcare industry experience necessary with focus on claims
5-7 years of data interpretation and analysis experience.
5-7 years of demonstrated leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
Highly organized with a strong sense of personal accountability and an inherent need to influence change and forward progress. Must have experience building data analytics in a deadline driven environment. Must be comfortable presenting information to Senior Leadership. Healthcare Industry experience a must. Ability to build reporting and manipulate data using Microsoft Access, SQL and Other Data Manipulation Tools is mandatory. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Product Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint). Tableau expertise a plus. Candidates will be required to provide examples of work.
