Role Value Proposition: Project Lead must have a technical background sufficient to understand the technologies and technical issues involved with the application, to be able to anticipate and identify critical technical obstacles, and to make accurate technology decisions. Able to manage project schedule and task details and utilize project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling software and to delegate appropriately. Also, manage change and properly communicate with management, customer and contractors throughout the life of the project. Key Responsibilities: Manages large scale projects or oversees multiple related large scale projects. Identifies resources needed, assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities. Determines scope and documents scope and deliverables based on documentation and requirements supplied. Creates and administers project plan. Communicates with Project Management counterparts, customers and project stakeholders to ensure continuing alignment with project objectives. Manages stakeholders (customers, vendors, etc.) and team expectations. Perform risk management to minimize project risks Resolving cross-program issues and strategic issues with senior management Provides senior management and stakeholders with project status. Identifies and mitigates issues and risks. Facilitates project meetings and produces meeting minutes. Serves as a role model by demonstrating commitment to commonly adopted processes and standards for project management. Expertise in conflict resolution Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Required: Bachelor\u2019s degree in related field or equivalent experience required. 8 years of working experience in IT or related experience 4-6 years project management experience Insurance\/Finance Business & IT strategy experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Preferred: ITIL or ITSM certifications preferred PMP certifications Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c Informatica OBIEE PeopleSoft ERP Big Data Insurance or Finance knowledge a plus At MetLife, we\u2019re leading the global transformation of an industry we\u2019ve long defined.
