Job Description

Claims Learning & Development team provides strategic education to the claims business, including field staff, home office staff, and other stakeholders. The team is responsible for the execution in the analysis, design, development, implementation, measurement, and coordination of high impact learning solutions.

Job Summary

Manage and lead the ongoing, long-term improvement of the Claims Learning & Development team, and Field and Home Office Claims education programs. This role requires creativity and flexibility as it will work with a variety of Subject Matter Experts and develop for many different audiences. A primary responsibility of this role is to transform business requirements into user-focused and intuitive training for virtual/augmented reality applications and training simulations. Leading a large team of Instructional Developers and Designers, with strong proven cross discipline team collaboration, communication, and leadership experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Experience in designing, developing and implementing high impact learning solutions, using a variety of innovative solutions including:

Cloud based content management systems

Connected classroom environments

Virtual and augmented reality

Building and testing items in an iterative, agile environment

Great at conceiving and building a compelling proposal, pitching that to a project owner, then leading that project through design and delivery

Proficient in functional areas involving text, graphic and interactive media

Proven leadership experience of large teams, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance discussions, employee relations, and coaching and developing associates

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Graduate degree in Business, Education, Instructional Design or Instructional Technology preferred

Stays current with skills by continually seeking opportunities for learning and development within their respective discipline(s)

Possesses advanced working knowledge of policies and procedures in management or other technical fields

Leverages awareness of current industry standards/environment to impact decisions and indicate requirements

Serves as a subject matter expert and can consult on complex issues within their discipline(s) from an internal perspective

Ability to think from both a strategic and tactical perspective

Experience creating and implementing change management initiatives
