Position Summary:

Primary focus of this position is in leading the financials of the Global Supply Chain Management Team across all four divisions of the company.  Supporting the Global Product Sourcing leads with Division/SBU requirements.  Reporting to the Director, Controlling Global Supply Chain Management. 


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has one direct report.


Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Finance Manager will partner with the global procurement organization and provide financial support to product sourcing and category leaders in an effort to achieve departmental cost improvement initiatives, manage costs related to Harman's procurement activities, and lead interaction with BU finance leads, suppliers and Harman operations.  The position will also be responsible for ensuring Procurement is adhering to all established compliance/audit policies and procedures. The specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:


*Drive Procurement portion of annual Operating Plan (Sales/Spend/Savings) *Support preparation and presentation of monthly Operations Review *Active participation in estabilishment of annual targets by Division and Category to support achievement of annual operating plan *Own monthly/quarterly reporting of key KPI's (Savings, QBR's, Best Cost Country, Payment Terms) *Financial partnership during Design/Win/ Execute/Improve phases of Procurement lifecycle *Establish and maintain a system of internal controls to ensure consistent and accurate reporting of procurement results globally *Interface with Category leads to ensure monthly P&L alignment vs budget commitments *Ensure Procurement savings are properly validated with supporting documentation *Monitor Division/Category savings results vs budget to identify  gaps *Monthly preparation of Procurement financial statements and account reconciliations *Reconciliation of annual negotiations to acatual savings in reporting systems *Provide Product/Program level analysis (pre/post SOP) *Provide spend mix analysis (actual vs budget) *Develop financial and scenario planning models, forecasts, strategy and transaction analysis, ad hoc analysis and management reports *Interface with Tax and Division Finance as required *Prepare presentations and analysis for top management and external constituents *Calculate/Validate MPV (Midyear Price Variance) & PPV (Purchase Part Variance)

Basic Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting *MBA or CPA preferred *8-10 Finance/Controlling (ideally 3-5 years procurement finance experience) *Understanding of compliance and internal control environment *Advanced ERP and/or procurement systems, standard costing *Excel and Power Point skills *Experience with cross functional, matrixed and multi national organizations *Ability to write reports for Senior Management *Excellent judgment, integrity and ethics *Good interpersonal skills
