The Lightning Cloud Performance and Analytics team

is looking for a leader to inspire, lead, and grow the world-class team that is responsible for measuring, monitoring, and enhancing the performance of Salesforce Lightning Platform

- the next generation platform for using and building trusted business applications.

Grow and lead the team of engineers responsible for building tooling and automation for performance improvements of Lightning Platform and its customers

Hands-on technical leadership in building the sophisticated ecosystem and tooling designed to enable simulation, gather, store, and analyze high-quality data to assess the platform before the release reaches customers

Participate in architecture discussions and planning with Development teams. Lead efforts to recommend architectural and tuning improvements to increase user experience with Lightning Platform

Work with other teams to define and set performance release criteria, and ensure that the criteria are met during release cadence

Required Skills / Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, STEM, IT or related discipline or equivalent experience

5 years managing teams of 5 engineers

5 years of benchmark testing, performance analysis, and tuning

Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills, troubleshooting and reasoning skills

Experience developing software benchmarks

5 years in technical/hands-on software development positions at large scale enterprise software companies

Working knowledge of front-end (UI/Mobile) performance measurement and optimization concepts

Expert ability to analyze/interpret technical data, write clear and concise technical documents

Expert ability to identify/resolve system bottlenecks, potential limitations in software architectures

Expert understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization

Expert understanding of Web Services and SOA; deep experience with data-driven development

Desired Skills

MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent

Working knowledge of Cloud Computing services (e.g. Amazon EC2, S3, Heroku)

Working knowledge of TCP/IP, networking topology, routers, switches
