Sr. Manager eInnovation

The Sr. Manager, eInnovation is responsible for advancing Celgene's eInnovation strategy into our long-term corporate strategies as well as mid-term franchise strategies by providing guidance to the Global Franchise teams.

He/she is responsible to identify, plan and execute digital communication projects that create mutual value for Celgene and their external customers. The Sr. Manager, eInnovation is furthermore responsible for evolving Celgene's eInnovation strategy by continuously benchmarking the digital communication activities within the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment and by incorporating novel and disruptive technologies into their digital communication portfolio.


Lead eInnovation projects

Engage with key stakeholders to identify customer centric digital opportunities to address clinical trial challenges

Develop and Execute project and budget plans for each eInnovation initiative

Assess technology and creatively apply technology-based solutions to business strategies

Manage vendor relationships; track deliverables; maintain timelines and execute within budget. Manage vendor selection process.

Utilize market intelligence and gather customer feedback/insights in project determinations and assessments

Align data capabilities required for advanced analytics to optimize the initiative to drive insights and impact

Lead the internal approval process (including regulatory and legal approval) according to Celgene's policies

Coordinate projects with IT and other functions as appropriate

Evolve eInnovation strategy and eInnovation portfolio

Drive transparency of global eInnovation initiatives with regional stakeholders and lead best practice sharing with defined regional partners

Serve as a go-to business partner for all questions from the franchise teams and regional stakeholders with respect to digital communication

Advance digital acumen and industry expertise through ongoing training and development

Manage and analyze KPIs and benchmarks across eInnovation initiatives and Proof of Concepts

Support Director of eInnovation in continuously evolving strategic direction of eInnovation to identify emerging trends and adjust to changing needs of the organization.




•BS/BA required, MBA preferred

•Minimum of 6 - 10 years experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry and 5-10 years digital experience

•Preferably a mix of pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience (Immunology, Oncology and /or Hematology experience desired) plus digital marketing experience in another industry.

•Experience in a clinical trial recruitment and retention a plus

•Demonstrated ability to implement successful eInnovation solutions that address customer needs

•eInnovation analysis—ability to assess technology and translate opportunities to add value to the business

•Ability to manage and supervise multiple vendors, manage multiple projects simultaneously to accomplish goals on time, within budget. Potential to manage and supervise internal staff / contractors

•Experience working with cross-functional teams

•Fundamental knowledge of digital marketing and results tracking metrics

•Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills

•Ability to demonstrate Celgene Corporate Values through passion for the patient, courage to face our challenges and the unknown, trust in our words and our actions and excellence in delivering exceptional results.

•Immunology, Hematology, Oncology and/or specialty product experience preferred

•International travel might be required
