Audit Services Department (ASD) assists management and the Audit Committee of

the Edison International Board of Directors by providing independent and

objective assurance services pertaining to internal controls, safeguarding of

assets and governance, and advisory services requested by management to improve

the effectiveness and efficiency of the Company's operations. 

Position Overview


Senior Manager of Cyber & IT Audits will report to the Director of

Operations, IT and Safety Audits.  The

ideal candidate will be a leader who is not afraid to drive change and

continuous improvement.  This position

leverages technical skills to manage co-sourced IT/cyber audits, and build

strong relationships with IT management while at the same time maintaining

independence and objectivity.  The

individual will work closely with the Director and the Chief Audit Executive to

design and execute on our strategy.   ASD

responsibilities include:

The individual will work with and manage the

ASD co-sourced vendor to conduct annual risk assessments for IT and related

functions to use as a basis for the development of the annual audit plan. The

plan will then be presented to Audits department management and the Audit

Committee of the Board of Directors for approvals, and be executed during the

year.Manage and allocate co-sourced and internal

team resources to conduct IT/cyber Audits to provide an independent assessment

of internal controls, information security, and compliance with regulations,

laws, company policies, industry best practices frameworks, and corporate

standards of conduct.Manage consulting engagements, as requested by

management, and offer recommendations to enhance effectiveness and efficiency

of operations, such as evaluating new system implementation for SOX compliance,

performing network penetration testing process reviews, etc.Maintain frequent contact with inter- and

intra-department managers and supervisors and senior management; conduct

periodic meetings with executive management.Assisting with developing, implementing, and

continuously improving the ASD data analytics capabilities.','!*!Minimum Qualifications 10 years of IT, cyber, audit and/or data analytics experience.5 or more years of experience should include managing or supervising an organization, unit, or large scale projects.One or more professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or the ability to obtain such a certification within 3 years of hire. Bachelor's degree in computers, computer information systems, math, or other related field.Desired QualificationsAdvanced or Master degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline (e.g., computer science, MBA or math) Experience with IT, cyber, and data analytics functions and audit techniques; computer assisted audit techniques, statistical sampling, audit and/or data analytics protocols, generally accepted auditing standards, business risk assessment principles, control self-assessment techniques, report writing and documentation.  Data analytics or related certification Computer System or Network Engineering certificationCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Broad knowledge of how to audit and/or run data analysis of requirements in heavy regulated industry, applicable governmental laws as well as risk based auditing.Broad IT operational knowledge and problem solving skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, including assessing risks, developing work plans, prioritizing, and scheduling work activities to support concurrent projects.Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels, including executive management, throughout the organization.Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence others.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and be flexible in a variety of situations, including those involving uncertainty, lack of information, and changing circumstances.Demonstrated experience leading and managing change.Technology Industry experience 5 Years IT Operational experience.5 Years of dedicated complex data analytics experience Broad knowledge of typical company and department policies, objectives, strategies, and goals Prior audit or risk assessment experience CommentsCandidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.Position may require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.  Relocation may apply to this position.This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.  Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.Southern California Edison, an Edison International (NYSE:EIX) company, serves a population of nearly 14 million via 5 million customer accounts in a 50,000-square-mile service area within Central, Coastal and Southern California.
