Functional Overview
General Mills is seeking a talented Senior Learning & Development Specialist at our Hannibal, Missouri manufacturing site.  The Senior Learning & Development Specialist will be accountable for leading a team of onsite L&D coordinators, creating procedures and practices for site level deployment of L&D plans and implementing learning methodologies and support systems aligned for the site and at the regional level.
Our Hannibal, Missouri site makes food people love in the Snacks and Meals businesses and is located just 90 minutes outside of St. Louis, Missouri.  Hannibal is a high performing, multi-platform non-union facility with over 900 employees leading the safe, high quality production of a wide range of products. The plant supports the Snacks and Meals Operating Units across 16 production lines.

Support plant Master Plan and Compelling Business Need (site vision) with the implementation and maintenance of Learning and Development standards, procedures and practices to develop the required capabilities to fulfill the plans.
Collaborate with Learning & Development community to share and grow the knowledge and capability of self, peer set, and direct reports.
Drive a culture of Equipment Ownership by partnering with Line Leadership teams to identify production losses resulting from Work Process Failure, and developing training interventions to build employee capability and eliminate losses.
Lead a team of site L&D coordinators to supply technical training curriculum, and select appropriate delivery methods and strategies, to grow the collective capability of plant operations team members.
Partner and collaborate with site Zero Loss Culture Pillar owners, Regional L&D Specialists, Plant Org Pillar Leader, and Plant Leadership Team to assess and prioritize capability needs, and deliver programs and standard work processes to build capability.
Deploy L&D Standard Work Processes and Current Best Approaches in accordance with Regional L&D standards, and aligned to overall Global Manufacturing Excellence Zero Loss Culture Pace Strategy.
Implement standard L&D tools, processes and systems (ex. Job Task Analysis\u2019s, Step Up Cards, process for SME content review, content management process, learning technology standards, etc.) in partnership with the SC Standards and Technology Leader, and the site pillar leaders.


Bachelor's degree 
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Professional Certifications: ATD C; Langevin Certified Training Manager or similar
