The primary focus of the Relationship Manager is to develop a strong presence in a competitive landscape (i.e.: Managed Services, Hosting, Colocation, Cloud) while achieving profitability and performance standards. The Global Account Manager will market the full suite of services under the CenturyLink portfolio ranging from Cloud & Managed Hosting services to MPLS, SIP & Networking hardware.Position Summary:  Prospects on a continual basis to identify, qualify, and close high quality net new business.Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets.Ensure and maintain minimum funnel goals are met or exceeded.Strategically leads internal resources to develop and execute successful pursuit plan.Essential Duties:  Owns the account strategy and sales opportunitiesDrives upsell into the customerDevelops Relationships with CXOs and understands customer's strategic directionMonitors for major changes (CXO change, expansion or contraction of business etc).Focused on entire IT opportunityIdentifies opportunities to bring in specialists  to expand the relationshipWorks with Finance\/SEs\/ Specialists on OpportunitiesOwns increasing sales and revenue on the accountAssists customers with expanding existing businessWorks with support teams to resolve business issues on existing service or open ordersMaintains base of accounts to retainOwns renewing expiring services Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of outside Business to Business technology sales experience in ˜named' accountsMinimum of 3 years in Hosting, Cloud, and\/or IP network transport sales or related high tech industryProficiency with the MS Applications Suite of products; Excel and PowerPointDemonstrated success in selling IT Infrastructure Services\/ OutsourcingDemonstrated success in selling to Financial Services or Banking clients Candidate Profile:Exudes high level of personal enthusiasm, energy and driveOpportunistic by natureThrives on the quest for new business dealsAdaptable and flexibleEnjoys solving problems and keeps long term goals in mind throughout process Education\/Certifications:Bachelors degree preferredTechnical sales certifications (VCP, Cisco, etc.) preferredConsultative or solutions selling training (Miller Heiman, Sandler, etc.) *This position description is not designed contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.Alternate Location: US-New York-New YorkRequisition #: 125621 This job may require successful completion of an online assessment.
