Job Summary:

Responsible for planning and conducting integrated audits of operating units and business processes; leads investigations of reported incidents and will help drive other assessments of Brookdales governance, business and risk management processes. The Internal Auditor, Senior will validate findings, collaborate with Process Owners to make practical and cost effective recommendations for risk management, process, control, or cost improvement; and drafts the audit report.

Your responsibilities:

Develops and drives the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments.

Supports Process Owners on matters of governance, process efficiency and risk and control.

Supervises, coaches and develops less experienced team members and aides them in resolving problems.

Works with Internal Audit Services Management to continually improve audit tools, processes and deliverables.

Prepares reports for management on the results of audits, providing recommendations on improvements.

Required skills and qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field required.

Masters Degree preferred.

Minimum three years in Audit, Accounting, Finance or other relevant business process experience required.

Prior audit experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certification in at least one area (e.g. CPA, CIA, CHC, CFE, etc.) preferred
