Senior Human Resources Manager (Bilingual – Spanish/English)

Our client is seeking a solid Human Resources (HR) leader and manager to support a mixed permanent and temporary workforce. This HR role is internal customer facing and supports both Logistics and Freight Management. Through grit, tenacity, intense engagement and HR excellence, our client will rely on you to help deliver and sustain our company’s HR plan. In this operations-driven role, you possess a rare combination of hands-on desire, analytical prowess, pro-active customer centricity, creative problem solving, detail oriented and the interpersonal ability to work cross-functionally with all departments. At our client’s company people matter and the Senior Human Resources Manager is instrumental in ensuring that our client is developing and delivering programs that enhance the employee experience and exemplify living the company’s values.  


\tAbility to provide advice and support managers and employees with their people-related processes such as performance management, career planning, leadership development, coaching, talent acquisition, total rewards, and policy interpretation. Willingness to use consultative skills with internal business partners; provide them with the strategic direction they need to make a difference in the business.
\tAdministering core HR processes including employment, labor and employee relations for bargaining unit and non-bargaining unit employees, compensation, benefits, performance management and workforce planning within the western region, (CA, WA).
\tConsult with leadership within Logistics and Freight Management on strategic and tactical human resource planning issue resolution.
\tAdminister approved employee relations policies and practices. Work with managers and employees to investigate and resolve employee relations issues.
\tConsult with management and Labor Relations to properly interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements for covered employees.
\tConduct executive, exempt, technical, non-technical and non-exempt recruiting support and counsel including sourcing, interviewing candidates, preparing correspondence and extending employment offers.
\tWill provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to business partners.


\tBachelor’s degree.
\tMinimum 10 years HR experience, with 5 years HR Manager experience.
\tMinimum 5 years HR experience working in California.
\tBilingual – Spanish required.
\tLabor Relations experience required.
\tKnowledge of time/payroll tracking systems.
\tFamiliarity with and ability to interpret and apply federal and state employment legislation.
