Senior HRIS Analyst (PeopleSoft)

Administers assigned system applications. Functions as a business sponsor and subject matter expert for all related system implementation and maintenance initiatives. Designs, develops and modifies reports.

* Preferred candidate will have extensive experience using Peoplesoft HRMS in an HRIS environment.

* Candidates with below minimum qualifications may be considered for HRIS Analyst II (D10).

Duties and Responsibilities

Acts as a business sponsor to implement, maintain and support assigned applications. Works in conjunction with appropriate IT staff or outside vendors to complete project plans, define project scope and/or participate in systems integration activities.

Analyzes end user requests for technology changes and customizations. Assesses system impact of proposed changes and makes recommendations that ensure consistency with existing system standards and future system implementation goals.

Receives and evaluates requests for human resources data and reports from various company personnel. Designs, tests and modifies new reports using report-generation software. Makes recommendations for improvements to reports as appropriate.

Evaluates and resolves human resources management system (HRMS) technical issues. Works in conjunction with IT and outside vendors to document and resolve production problems. Refers complex problems to Help Desk, more experienced staff, outside vendors or other appropriate source as required.

Creates payroll and personnel export files and develops specifications for export files to fulfill requests for HRMS interfaces. Participates in testing and validation of interface files.

Coordinates and oversees user acceptance testing related to system changes or enhancements as required. Participates in planning, communicating and training users regarding routine system updates or procedural changes.

Oversees and monitors system-related projects, including upgrades, enhancements and process improvement activities.

Analyzes user problems and identifies potential solutions. Coordinates problem resolutions.

Implements monitors and maintains database security, including creating and maintaining users, roles and privileges for the database. Monitors, maintains, certifies and implements user access as necessary. Participates in system security audits as required.

Researches and resolves problems as required. Assists section supervisor in developing technology strategies for HR systems.

Coordinates technical and end user training with appropriate internal departments.

Completes special projects as required.

Qualifications

The minimum education and experience requirements are as follows:

* Bachelors degree in business, mathematics, computer science, information technology and five year related experience; or

* Associates degree and seven years of related experience; or

* High school equivalent and nine years of related experience.

Additional coursework or systems certification preferred. Working knowledge of the human resources field required. Working knowledge of enterprise system environments required. Working knowledge of reporting tools or SQL required. Working knowledge of IT policies and practices preferred.
