Job Description

Position Summary:

This position will support the Microarray business, part of Genetic Analysis within the Genetic Sciences Division. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the financial analysis, planning, and reporting activities and will partner with the business leaders to develop actions and recommendations to enable the business to achieve its financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Microarray financials and provide key insights to the business to drive actionable opportunities for growth

Support financial reporting and monthly / quarterly close and forecast process

Own weekly revenue and backlog reporting

Support the internal services lab including partnering with Services Director, maintaining a P&L, modeling capacity needs, and providing ad hoc analysis

Own Opex reporting and provide site-level financial support for both the Microarray and Reproductive Health businesses

Help drive the AOP and STRAP processes

Support business reporting commitments including financial reviews, flash reports, QBR, ad hoc reports

Financial modeling and analysis to drive business decisions

Support new product launches and other R&D initiatives

Drive continuous improvement and automation of key processes

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in finance, accounting or other business related disciplines (MBA a plus)

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

Strong FP&A skills

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across the organization

Ability to take action when answers to problems are not readily apparent

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and identify potentially more effective reports or processes

Ability to work with management at all levels

Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Systems experience, including, but not limited to: JDE, E1, SAP, EDW, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Planning
