Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: Develop and own the Continue Integration Continuous Deployment processes Deploy changes to production - SQL & Talend Production support & maintenance of active jobs and databases Identify system issues by performing analysis and work with team to resolve issues Recommend system/process improvements to manager Manage SQL Server databases & Talend ETL jobs through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production systems. Configure and maintain SQL database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. Candidate will work with developers on designs, SQL performance optimization, and perform ad hoc support The candidate will work with application developers to evolve the database architecture and design and will participate in the creation and refinement of each database instances. Candidate will be serving as a point of contact for advanced level troubleshooting issues, and perform hands-on Database/Systems administration as required. Candidate will automate regular Database/OS administrative work with other support teams and ensure they are functioning correctly. The candidate should have experience in tuning database server configurations, queries, and indexes. He/she will also be required to run such queries as requested by the development teams. Act as a back up to manual data loading to Salesforce Required Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related fields or equivalent practical experience 3 years MS SQL Server Administration/DBA experience required supporting all aspects of databases 2 years ETL experience, preferably Talend Enterprise or SSIS 1 years data loading experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools Experience with backups, restores and recovery models Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality Ability to organize and plan work independently Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams Strong experience in monitoring and tuning MS SQL Server databases for optimum performance Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills Advance troubleshooting skills & proven problem solving abilities Knowledge about Agile methodology and Devops will be added advantage UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
