Works directly with the Enterprise Continuous Improvement Relationship Management team to support the establishment and execution of the Line of Business/Corporate Center Continuous Improvement strategy.

This role will require demonstrated knowledge and experience in utilizing the techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.

In addition, this position will play a significant coaching role to the CI resources and general employee community of the LOB/CC on CI methodology, training and tool use/execution.


• Assist with the assessment and build of the required infrastructure within the

LOB/CC to support the LOB/CC CI strategy including building employee

capabilities, roadmap development, resource alignment and engagement,

performance governance and measurement, rewards & recognition, etc.

Ensure consistency and compliance with Enterprise CI methodology and best


• Assist in the engagement of LOB/CC employees seeking/providing accurate

information to ensure alignment and accountability regarding continuous

improvement. Provide data for CI content and assist with guiding business unit

or department CI efforts.

• Coach and guide LOB/CC CI resources on their engagement/execution of CI

roadmap; build performance measurement tools to accurately capture and

recognize improvement outcomes. Monitor action plans resulting from process

improvement activities.

• Lead the education, training, and facilitate CI activity workshops in accordance

with the ECI Academy.

• Develops rapport and connections with leaders and employees to become a

trusted partner and influencer.

Knowledge/ Skills:

• Knowledge of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for

documenting current business processes; ability to identify problems,

opportunities, and re-engineering processes for improvement.

• Ability to lead continuous improvement projects/programs.

• Knowledge of innovation frameworks and ability to coach/ lead business

partners through implementation.

• If not already Green Belt certified the candidate must agree to complete

TIAA Green Belt certification within 12 months of accepting the position.

• Utilize effective communication concepts, tools and techniques.

• Able to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information,

and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors in

a simple way.

• Able to design and facilitate small groups, elicit contributions, stimulate a

focused group discussion, and achieve a desired outcome.



Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree or 5 years equivalent of work experience

•5 years of process, operations or consulting experience

•5 or more years experience working autonomously, tracking metrics, sharing results with leadership

•Proficient in the use of MS Office products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access

•5 years of process improvement, change management, and/or project management experience utilizing Lean principles including root/cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

•Management Consulting or Process / Operating Model design experience

•Comfortable presenting and taking direction from executive leadership

•Experience supporting corporate, divisional or department-wide continuous improvement projects/programs preferred

•Knowledge of and familiarity of the Innovation framework

•Advanced analysis and reporting experience through Excel, Access, SharePoint Development, Tableau

•Planning and Organizing, Effective Communication, Facilitation, Training.

•Green Belt certification preferred but not required at time of hire. Certification will be required within 12 months of obtaining this role.
