Senior Channel Development Specialist

The Senior Channel Development Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing efforts around dealer improvement & distribution transformation. A large focus will be on establishing the standards & processes that drive retail & service success related top performance, consumer satisfaction, and dealer profitability. The Senior Channel Development Specialist will work closely with Dealer Development, Field Sales, and cross-functionally to ensure that future strategies are aligned and effective at driving an improved dealer network & consumer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Dealer Retail & Service Effectiveness

Develop & implement dealer standards,requirements & measurement related to the post- sales experience &dealership service operations

Responsible for development, implementation, andon-going improvement to a Polaris Sales Process that supports efforts toimprove upon the selling skills of dealership sales staff.

Development of next generation salespersonengagement & incentive program

Support efforts & ensure execution of dealer digitalmarketing, website, & traditional local marketing.

Lead the efforts to develop in-store standardsrelated to showroom space, branding/fixtures, & retail merchandisingincluding implementation, training of field sale team & dealers, and on-goingmeasurement.

Develop dealer retail planning standards andprovide consistent retail planning direction to field sales

team

Partner with business units to establish andmaintain thorough understanding of retail program objectives and developstrategies and plans that engage dealers to maximize at the local level.

Dealer Standards

Develop and maintain consistent processes to audit,track & communicate minimum standards across dealer network

Understand & communicate Polaris’ competitiveposition on standards & incentives within powersports industry

Plan for new minimum standards to strengthen dealernetwork, support new standards with appropriate communication and educationtools for DSMs & dealers.

Develop strategy & roadmap for dealer standards& incentives program that encourages dealer investment & focus onproven retail & profitability driving activities.

Work cross-functionally to understand key driversin whole good, accessory and F & I performance

Build key drivers into Standards/Incentivesstrategy to strengthen dealer performance & retail results

Distribution Transformation

Support efforts to Top Grade and Optimizedistribution locations incorporating dealer standards and requirements.

Collaborates and works cross-functionally with Dealer Development Specialists, field sales managers, sales team leadership to help drive targeted efforts.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor’sdegree in marketing, sales or similar field required

7 years ofsales and/or marketing experience

In-depthknowledge of powersports dealers and the channels in which they operate

Proven trackrecord of driving results and retail sales growth and/or success in a fast-pacedenvironment

Strategicplanning

Ability totake data & insights and develop into actionable plans

Candidate must be detail-oriented with organization, communication, project management and analytical skills.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence all levels of management.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Location – Bass Creek Facility, Plymouth, MN

Corporate office environment

Travel required, up to 33% of the time
