Woot, an Amazon subsidiary famous for having invented the first daily deal website, is seeking self-starters to join the vendor management team in Dallas focused on building the world\u2019s best selection of deals.We are looking for a Manager, Vendor Management for Home and Tools categories to lead a team that identifies, evaluates and structures deals that delight our customers. In this role, you will apply a healthy balance of qualitative and quantitative analysis to recommend optimal deal opportunities that deliver the best customer and vendor experience.The successful candidate has a healthy obsession with the rapidly evolving daily deal and flash sale space, is naturally curious, and enjoys tackling exciting negotiation challenges. He/she is able to balance his/her own buying responsibilities with managing and coaching the team. He/she rolls up his/her sleeves, innovates, and quickly becomes a subject matter expert on the key attributes and inputs that ensure deal performance. He/she has significant experience analyzing data, identifying trends, extracting conclusions, and presenting recommendations in a simple and clear manner. Successful candidates also enjoy problem solving and are proficient using Excel and other tools to analyze large data sets.The role will be inherently cross functional, requiring individuals who are interested in leading collaboration and negotiation across the organization. This role will involve frequent, executive-level vendor contact and will require the final candidate to have strong presentation and strategic negotiating skills. This role will also involve collaboration with Amazon teams to partner on deal opportunities.Responsibilities:

Building executive-level vendor partnerships with strategic vendors.

Engaging with vendors to pitch the Woot value proposition and gather insight and feedback into how Woot can help achieve their business objectives.

Analyzing large amounts of deal performance data to identify the attributes that determine a good deal. Use these attributes to refine existing and/or future deal plans.

Negotiating best-in-class vendor terms, costs, and inventory arrangements.

Planning and executing a robust pipeline of optimal deals across a variety of categories and subcategories.

Solving deal customer experience issues that affect downstream customers and Woot customers.

Managing a team of buyers and assistant buyers to deliver on the goals for the Home and Tools categories

Documenting standard processes for identifying and crystallizing optimal deal structures.

Managing the Home and Tools category P&Ls.

Basic Qualifications

5 years in product, project, business, and/or vendor management is required
Management of a team in a retail buying, and/or e-commerce environment
3 years of buying, preferably in an e-commerce environment
Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, operations, engineering or a related discipline
Thorough knowledge of and experience using Excel and/or Access databases
Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to prepare data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
Experience presenting to Senior Leadership

Preferred Qualifications

7 years in product, project business, and/or vendor management
Proven track record in vendor negotiation and relationship management.
Experience owning and managing the entire supply base for a given category or product segment, ideally with consumer products.
Experience managing a P&L
Demonstrated ability to present strategic concepts, evaluate trade-offs and socialize opportunistic new ideas with business partners.
Working knowledge of SQL and Data Warehouse
MBA preferred
