Leadswork groups and/or functions as a technical expert. Collaborates with client and informationtechnology organizations to lead the definition of functional requirements andfunctional designs of creative solutions that will support the clients' strategyand future business goals. Performsindependent research to proactively identify and analyze future opportunitiesand emerging solutions that could be applied in the clients' operations todrive improvement. Leverage technicalexpertise in updating multi-year technology roadmaps for clients. Support IT Architecture & Developmentorganization in clarifying functional requirements and functional design duringdevelopment of solution. This role will support Digital Commerce, with a focus onenabling the success of iT in the following discipline areas across allconsumer direct channels including web and mobile:

Education and Experience Required:

8-10 years' experience ininformation technology application design or development - Undergraduate degreeor equivalent experience/certification - Skilled at converting business needsinto technology requirements and working within IT to manage the execution ofprojects - Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creativelyapproach solutions, and decide and influence appropriate courses of action


-Graduate degree - Experience identifying and analyzing alternative solutions tocomplex business requirements and providing guidance and advice/ Agile designand development experience.

Strongcommunication skills, including experience facilitating requirements analysisand functional design working sessions

Experiencecompleting information technology cost/resource estimates to implement andsupport solutions - Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others

Excellentanalytical skills where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult -Experience with business process re-engineering

Demonstrated knowledge of supporteddiscipline

Strongprocess management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution skills -Broad technical experience across technical components includinginfrastructure, network, applications, data, and information security

Familiaritywith Marriott's existing information architecture, application portfolio, andinformation management methodology - Knowledge of emerging technologies,including those new to the Marriott environment as well as those that are newto the information systems industry.


TechnicalLeadership - Facilitates business requirements analysis and functional designwork sessions including creating business presentations, communications, anddocumentation

Leadfunctional design including demonstrations to stakeholders to validate approach- Identifies creative solutions to business requirements, analyzes thestrengths and weaknesses of alternatives, and provides recommendations -

Works with external vendors and analogouscompanies to obtain additional insights, approaches, and demonstrations ofsolutions

Collaborateswith the client organization including business analysts in the clientorganizations - Document functional, integration, and testing requirements aswell as SLAs and operating level agreements

Leadstechnology cost/resource estimates and input to business cases - Work with theIT Architecture & Development organization during development to addressfunctional requirements and functional design clarifications - Provideexpertise and update multi-year technology road maps - Provide expertise totraining and field support groups as appropriate before new releases go-live -Identifies opportunities to enhance the business partnership and planningprocesses - Trains and/or mentors other team members, and peers asappropriate IT Governance - Follows alldefined technology standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G,Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriateprocess owners as needed - Participates in technical evaluation process whenassessing additions or changes to defined technology standards
