There are several positions available within our Internal Audit department in Thomasville, GA:
2 to 5 years of relevant experience required; CPA, CIA or equivalent preferred
Senior IT Auditor:
CISA with 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and strong SAP skills required
Auditors will assist in developing and executing comprehensive audit programs that are responsive to IT, operational, financial and control risks across Flowers Foods. These high visibility positions offer the right candidate a unique and excellent opportunity for professional growth and development. Flowers Foods Internal Audit offers Professional Auditor and Executive Development career tracks. Our company is in the midst of major growth, reorganization and a multitude of strategic projects.
Although auditors will assist with SOX as needed, they will also focus on understanding company changes, assessing risk and assisting with development of controls for new/modified business processes and systems. Preference will be given to integrated auditors
, candidates with combined financial, operational and technology audit skills. Strong audit experience combined with a CPA, CIA, CISA or MBA reflecting the ability to understand the control environment and put associated risk in perspective is valued. Core competencies include the ability to think critically, analyze root cause, convert data into insight, adapt to change, build effective working relationships, successfully plan and organize projects and positively impact and influence others.
Basic qualifications include:
- Big 4 experience a plus
- Consumer Products or manufacturing industry experience also a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and internal auditing standards
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes, financial controls, technology controls and risk assessment practices
- Strong understanding of controls within an ERP environment (SAP preferred)
- Strong critical thinking/root cause analysis capability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong skills in project management, issue negotiation and resolution
- Ability to function effectively with limited supervision
- Understanding of risk
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
- Audit data analytics experience would be a strong plus (not a deal breaker)
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
