Senior Analyst- Supply Chain

Position Summary
Ensures that the Supply Chain being executed at regional and local levels is fully integrated with business strategies and plans.  Provides senior-level analysis on global Supply Planning activities that can include raw materials sourcing, SC planning, transportation and/or warehousing, packing and shipping. 
Job Responsibilities
\u2022 Acts as global process owner for the FMO business ensuring that the Supply Chain is aligned with the business plans and that a consistent approach is used globally.
\u2022 Provides functional (matrix) direction and business focus to the regional Supply Chain organizations in the execution of short-term supply/demand plans. Ensures the regional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process is consistent with global business requirements, optimizes resources and minimizes costs.
\u2022 Facilitates resolution of regional resource conflicts and/or gaps. Leads resolution of escalated conflicts and issues at the executive and business level.
\u2022 Conducts analyses to interpret and explain activities; identify trends and patterns. Tracks and measures results against plan metrics and explains variances. Assists in conducting asset and cost optimization, trend and cost/benefit, and working capital analyses.
\u2022 Prepares and delivers reports and information in writing and/or presentations regarding findings on trends, demands, constraints and changing conditions, prepares and leads monthly Management Business Review meeting.
\u2022 Identifies and recommends opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities. Works with BPE to develop improved Supply Chain processes that will benefit the businesses.
\u2022 Manages initiatives to optimize business assets (plant and inventory) and streamline business practices. Develop and track measurements to ensure the Sales & Operations Planning process and action plans are meeting desired business results.
Requirements
\u2022 Bachelor/University degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related discipline.
\u2022 Up to 10 years\u2019 experience in value-chain processes, with a minimum of five years in supply planning highly preferred. Experience in a global Supply Chain environment preferred.
 
\u2022 Excel required, OBI/JDA preferred.
 
\u2022 Broad understanding of Cabot businesses and products; general business practices. Strong knowledge of Supply Chain functionality, ranging from materials management, manufacturing and delivery of product to customer service. Strong knowledge of business finances and cost analysis concepts and techniques.
\u2022 Excellent analytical skills to connect facts and see trends and opportunities. Excellent problem solving skills in order to take new perspectives.
\u2022 Strong inter-personal and communications skills for interfacing with various levels of the organization. Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing.
\u2022 Effective team player; ability to work collaboratively with others, negotiate, manage conflicts, and influence others.
