Extensive Information System (IS) knowledge/experience.   Extensive working knowledge of company, customer, and government security regulations/procedures; National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Defense Security Service Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG), Risk Management Framework (RMF).  May have special technical security knowledge or skills.   

·         Ensure the implementation of security measures, in accordance with facility procedures, DSS or other agency requirements.

·         Prepare, maintain, and implement a SSP that accurately reflects the installation and security provisions.

·         Implement procedures to govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying media and equipment containing classified information.

·         Reporting IS security incidents and initiating, with the approval of the ISSM, protective or corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered.

·         Implementing and maintaining security-related software for the detection of malicious code/viruses as appropriate.

·         Conduct ongoing security reviews and tests of the IS to periodically verify that security features and operating controls are functional and effective.

·         Evaluate proposed changes or additions to the IS, and advises the ISSM of their security relevance.

·         Ensure that all active user IDs are revalidated at least annually.

·         Work in close coordination with the ISSM, to monitor assigned systems and their environment of operation to include developing and maintaining the System Security Plan (SSP) and Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTM), managing and controlling changes to the system, and assessing the security impact of those changes.

·         Conduct daily, weekly and monthly audit review and management of the audit collection system.

·         Implement vulnerability management programs, including tracking and addressing IAVAs and security patches, accessing applicability to existing systems, and ensuring closure

. Implement media control and data transfer policies




Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems management or equivalent education and experience plus a minimum 2 years experience in;

Security CE or equivalent required at a minimum; CISSP Certification preferred

Strong background and extensive experience with NISPOM, DAAPM, RMF, ICD 503, JSIG, NIST SP800-53 or DCID 6/3; knowledge of current accreditation processes, particularly within the DoD RMF.

Must be proficient in Microsoft suite ex: Word, Excel, Power Point.  Access is a plus. 

Unix/Linux experience a plus

An active DoD Secret Security clearance preferred with the requirement of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret security clearance.

Candidate will work a 9/80 schedule 07:00 to 17:00.


Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.
