POSITION SUMMARY

Maintaining security for all deliveries arriving or outbound shipments departing through the dock doors. Notating driver name, License #, Trailer #, and company in Visitor Registration Program. Ensuring staff, visitors, and vehicle drivers comply with ESI Procedures and Policies regarding deliveries and shipments. Ensuring badge and escort policy is adhered. Restricting unauthorized personnel from entering the Pharmacy Shipping area without being escorted by authorized personnel. Monitoring and operating cameras and other security and safety equipment, systems and devices in the assigned work areas. Reading, understanding and adhering to Security Plans and Procedures and all other ESI and/or regulatory agency implementing instructions, or as otherwise communicated applicable regulations and laws. Observing, responding to and reporting security and safety related incidents, infractions, threats, etc. to police, fire, EMS, site management and Corporate Security and Safety management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Controlling access to loading docks,, shipping and receiving areas. Maintaining security for all deliveries arriving or outbound shipments departing through the dock doors. Notating driver name, License #, Trailer #, and company in Visitor Registration Program. Ensuring badge and escort policy is adhered. Restricting unauthorized personnel from entering the Pharmacy Shipping area without being escorted by authorized personnel

Continuously controlling access and monitoring areas protected by alarm, access control and CCTV/video systems.

Respond and report to any condition or situation adversely affecting the safety or security of the site or its employees

Perform security building and parking area checks/patrols and inspections of ESI site areas designated by the Security Plans & Procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

Armed Security Officer or Commissioned Police Officer in jurisdiction where Express Scripts, Inc. operations are performed, or currently posses and maintains security license issued from St. Louis County Private Security Section.

Knowledge and experience with any authorized weapons, use of force, etc.

Possess good interpersonal skills and the ability work well with within a business environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Strong working knowledge of potentially applicable criminal and civil laws to security functions.

Working knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment, PCs, applications, etc.

Working knowledge and experience with general building systems and construction practices. Must possess analytical and problem solving skills and a general mechanical aptitude.

Ability to exercise good judgment and work under pressure. Capacity to effectively and continuously work with sensitive information

Reading, understanding and adhering to Security Plans and Procedures and all other ESI and/or regulatory agency implementing instructions, or as otherwise communicated applicable regulations and laws.

Performing all necessary security functions and such related functions, including, but not limited to, the monitoring and operation of sophisticated electronic security systems, fire systems, other protection devices, and, in emergencies, perform the Security Force duties provided for in the Security Plans & Procedures. Reporting potential hazardous conditions and items in need of repair, including such things as lights out, inoperative or broken locks, inoperative or broken doors, and to see the reports are furnished to the designated Express Scripts, Incorporated personnel. Maintain records in connection with such reports. Immediately report all accidents, injuries, fires and property damage, submit and maintain records in connection with such reports.

Promptly respond to all requests from designated ESI personnel and others on site needing assistance because of or to prevent acts of physical violence, vandalism, theft, or other disturbances

Provide vehicular and pedestrian entry control as directed. Access control shall be accomplished according to Security Plans & Procedures.

Inspect and test security and fire alarm systems, equipment and devices in accordance with Security Plans & Procedures to ensure that they are present and functioning properly.

Control access into ESI site areas in accordance with Security Plans & Procedures.

Continuously monitor areas protected by alarm, access control and CCTV/video systems. Access logs, visitor registration, records of security building checks/patrols, key control records and records of inspection and testing shall be maintained in accordance with Security Plans & Procedures.

Immediately respond to and maintain security during situations or incidents that threaten the security of the site, its facilities or its personnel. The Security Force shall be capable of coping with a variety of incidents such as bomb threats, theft, equipment sabotage, assault, trespass, intrusions and other acts or incidents adversely affecting the security of ESIs personnel and facilities.

Report and respond to any condition or situation adversely affecting the safety or security of the site or its employees.

Perform traffic or pedestrian control duties as directed or required. Perform site parking lot inspections and report infractions according to Security Plans & Procedures.

When authorized, receive, safeguard, and turn over to the appropriate persons, official mail, messages and or telegrams, patrol and observe storage areas; receive and make telephone calls, and similar routine matters.

Responsible for monitoring, testing and operations for security systems

Responsible for performing security and emergency communications, regular and emergency dispatch and event and incident documentation.

Perform other duties as may be assigned or directed by the Security Plans & Procedures.
