Division Overview:

Killark is a leading manufacturer of electrical construction products for standard, harsh and hazardous environments. We have over 90 years of extensive experience in producing conduit raceway fittings, junction boxes, enclosures, lighting fixtures, plugs & receptacles, distribution equipment and standard and custom controls.

Position Overview:  

Sales Trainee will learn customer service and gain technical product knowledge in St. Louis, MO over a 12 month period for possible promotion into the Marketing, Engineering or Sales.  This position requires frequent travel and must be willing to relocate when fully trained  to the US North East or South East region. 

 Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive training and perform duties in several areas such as Customer Service, Technical Support, Engineering Support, Manufacturing, Marketing, Pricing, and Sales to become familiar with the functions, operations, company policies and procedures and gain knowledge and experience required for promotion.

Customer Service Representative:

\tResponsible for processing and expediting of orders.
\tActively manage customer orders for assigned territory to ensure delivery commitments are met.
\tMonitor and analyze delivery performance for assigned territory and identify areas for improvement.
\tDevelops strong technical knowledge and is able to assist customer as 1st line technical support.
\tHandles general product and book price inquiries and correspondence from customers and the field sales force.
\tMust be able to effectively interpret and communicate information from SAP system.
\tCommunicate with Marketing, Quality and Manufacturing to identify and solve customer requests and problems.
\tCommunicate special order processing requirements
\tHandles special reporting for customer as required.

Technical Support:

\tAnalyzes customer’s technical requirements and problems or applications and suggests technical recommendations.
\tProvides available technical information to the sales and marketing departments and field sales personnel
\tProvides competitive crossovers and maintains a competitive crossover file on the central data system. 
\tProvide support in product training sessions for the sales force and support personnel.
\tMaintain our competitive literature library. 
\tPerforms related work as assigned.

Sales Specialist (Sales Path)

\tResponsible, within an assigned territory, for the sale of Hubbell Harsh & Hazardous products in North America.
\tThe Account Specialist will be responsible for pursuing End Users, OEM, EPC and distribution markets
\tMeets or exceeds sales quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
\tExcels in planning and using own time for maximum efficiency.
\tBe fully knowledgeable with significant competitors, their products, pricing, policies, tactics, etc.
\tMaintain a comprehensive list of both current and prospective customers.
\tDisplays or demonstrates products by using samples and catalogs, and emphasizes unique Killark features.
\tPrepares reports monthly on business conditions, lost opportunities, and keeps expense account records.

Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

\tProficient computer skills
\tDriver’s license required

\tExperience with KILLARK Distributors or End Customers
