The Opportunity | Sales Representative Curtiss-Wright (Exlar) has a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Representative to help with managing direct sales and distributors for the Western US and Canada. This position will initially be involved with handling proactive growth activities and potentially move into outside key account management sales. Your Challenge: Initially involved with inside sales activities such as quoting, lead follow-up, market research, and other assigned duties. Participates in prototyping activities, working with Engineering, Marketing and Sales executives to develop static and functional product prototypes to meet customer expectations. Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business. Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers, assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services. Follow established procedures and guidelines to promote and sell the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to meet sales targets. Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met. Your Expertise: Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Electronics or Manufacturing technology) 4-6 years' experience in the same or similar role. Familiar with industrial automation technologies (motors, drives) is an asset Familiar with distribution models is an asset Technical aptitude This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
