Job Description Manages sales operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment through; optimizing sales department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction, growing profitable new and used complete good sales, exercising disciplined expense control, attracting and retaining outstanding talent and effectively engaging department personnel. To provide leadership in motivating, managing and evaluating the sales force. Development and implementation of the marketing plan. To provide thorough market coverage of the customer base through a customer relationship process that will achieve and maintain lasting brand and dealership loyalty. Is responsible for the achievement of marketing objectives, the profitable, efficient and safe operation of the sales department and the effective management of all marketing assets to meet the business plan. Major Functions and Scope: \u2022 Promotes TriGreen Equipment in a professional manner through personal appearance and dress according to the company policy. \u2022 Develops and maintains effective Sales department processes to ensure internal and\u00a0external\u00a0customer satisfaction. \u2022 Implements annual Sales Department goals and budgets in alignment with the organization\u2019s financial and operational objectives. \u2022 Leads implementation of a comprehensive, annual marketing plan which identifies the market coverage strategy, sales and market share goals, advertising plan and a complete product promotion plan to include displays, demonstrations, customer clinics, etc\u2026Reviews progress monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals while realizing a minimum of 60% market share. \u2022 Develops and updates a competitive and flexible pricing strategy relative to market conditions to achieve the budgeted sales, market share and financial objectives. \u2022 Takes the lead in sharing best practices and implementing common process throughout the Sales Department. \u2022 Oversees the management of new and used inventory \u2022 Assists with the collection of defaulted accounts resulting from whole goods sales \u2022 Develops and manages a systematic and fully functional customer relationship process regulating the sales force interaction with the entire customer base, that includes; the interaction with the customer base, customer profiling and classification, call scheduling and target marketing to realize after the sale and a minimum of 80% Customer Allegiance. \u2022 Maintains an effective inventory control system that achieves a minimum of total complete goods inventory turnover of 4.2X and used equipment turnover of 4.0X. \u2022 Maintains sales department equipment including vehicles and sales office equipment. \u2022 Ensures appropriate communication with customers, other departments and the sales staff through regular meetings, customer visits, written communications, facilitation of problem solving and potential conflicts, etc. \u2022 Ensures appropriate training is provided and timely scheduled, including product training, selling techniques, customer relationships, retail financing, systems training, safety training, etc \u2022 Supports aftermarket goals and strategies \u2022 Coordinates and resolves interdepartmental issues. \u2022 Conducts regularly scheduled departmental meetings \u2022 Assists supervisor with any other assigned duties Job Requirements: Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision: \u2022 Minimum of 3-5 years sales management experience. \u2022 Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet functions. \u2022 Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group. \u2022 Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Sales Department operations. \u2022 Post Secondary degree preferred in Business Management or Marketing. \u2022 Previous managerial experience \u2022 Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports \u2022 Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and good interpersonal people skills. \u2022 Familiar with John Deere and competitive products. \u2022 Good interpersonal skills required. \u2022 This position will be responsible for all sales personnel. \u2022 Physical environment-ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods and sitting.
