Position Summary
Cabot Corporation is seeking an aggressive, B2B Sales Manager for our Performance Materials segment, managing  the Ohio Valley sales territory for Specialty Carbons and Fumed Metal Oxides by identifying and creating new business opportunities as well as managing some existing accounts. The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and achieving all sales and profit metrics. The successful Sales Manager candidate will be a sales professional experienced in handling high volume and complex accounts.
This position will require the candidate to reside in the defined territory; preferably in Ohio.
Job Responsibilities

Manages sales territory and sells Cabot products, generating target levels of revenue, volume, margins, and days outstanding from customer base
Develops volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving desired results
Effectively communicates and negotiates complex sales contracts with customers
Educates customers on new products and product enhancements; articulates and presents product features and benefits
Identifies new market opportunities as well as target builds; seeks out competitive information
Establishes and maintains processes that ensure accurate budget and forecast information for the business
Leads Cabot\u2019s efforts to establish levels of excellence in sales and customer service
Provides leadership that assists management in setting strategic initiatives and programs to achieve corporate strategies
May provide technical guidance and leadership to other representatives in the area
Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region


5-7 years in B2B sales role, selling complex products and components of products, preferably within the chemical industry
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related. MBA preferred.
The ability to establish and maintain appropriate relationships with customers
The ability to utilize knowledge of product capability to recognize opportunities where Cabot can provide solutions to customers\u2019 needs
Travel - 50% or greater - domestically
