SSIS ETL Developer','1800519','!*!Overview of the role: We are seeking an SSIS ETL Developer who will be responsible for analyzing source data against business requirements to design the most appropriate ETL solution. This role will also lead offshore developers through the implementation process to yield a highly efficient, scalable ETL processes. Additionally, the position will be responsible for supporting existing ETL processes as well as providing creative ideas to improve and optimize existing processes. Responsibilities of the role: • Design, develop and support data acquisition (ETL) processes in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2012 • Responsible for navigating large sets of data, complex ETLs, as well as data transfer and scheduling mechanisms • Develop detailed technical specifications and ETL documentation in collaboration with the data warehouse architect and business analysts • Provide expertise and leadership to offshore ETL developers. Supply requirements to offshore team and review solutions. Assist offshore team with testing, implementation and production support • Assist QA team to conduct appropriate functional and performance testing to identify and resolve process bottlenecks and data quality issues • Write Ad-hoc reports (T-SQL queries), complex stored procedures and functions to perform database tasks such as inserts, updates and deletes • Work with multiple team members across organization (onsite and offsite) in order to deliver and support ETL applications • Work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously • Responsible for production support, including off hours and weekend 'on call' on a rotational basis. Work with offshore production support team to communicate incidents and statuses to management, business and other extended teams ','!*!• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience • 5 years of SQL Server programming experience including SSIS, T-SQL, SSRS • Strong knowledge of SSIS development, T-SQL, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers • ETL / data warehouse development, SSIS is key • Complex Data Mapping, Complex Data Transformation experience required • Any Agile experience a plus • Knowledge of physical database administration with SQL Server a plus • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required Candidates should have domain knowledge in at least one of the following areas: • Sales Analytics • Marketing Analytics • Accounting / Financial Services • Information Technology Should have experience with: • Data Warehousing Concepts • Star and Snowflake schemas • Writing technical documentation • ERwin • Software Development Life Cycle PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Knowledge of job schedulers and experience in developing batch and real time integrations (Flat Files, EDI, XML) is a plus • Knowledge of Data modeling concepts (e.g. Entity Relationship Diagrams) is a plus • XML/XSLT experience is a plus • Familiarity with ASP.NET, C# platform is a plus WHY JOIN HARTFORD FUNDS?
