This position manages the daily operation of North Georgia warehouse location(s) to assure effective and consistent application of procedures and processes, participates in planning, developing and implementing optimum service delivery strategies, and communicates with external customers and vendors and personnel in Sales, Marketing, Logistics and other areas as necessary to achieve desired results. This position may also manage manufacturing operations at one or multiple locations

Oversees activities for warehousing locations:

Participates in establishing operational procedures to ensure consistency, accurate and timely inventory disposition and warehouse operations
Provides daily leadership and manages the work of warehouse employees
Reviews staffing levels and approves HR functions for each for each warehouse. Maintains oversight of controls and recording keeping measures.
Manages operations budget segments.

Confers with personnel in key areas that impact warehousing operations to resolve issues and provide input:

Communicates with division management on projects and/or changes impacting warehousing operations, service and delivery.
Coordinates activities with other functional areas as necessary to ensure a continuity of efforts and identify new opportunities.
May serve on management teams and committees to provide advice on process and procedural changes, cost saving measures, and improved efficiencies.

Resolves external customer service issues by discussing and negotiating directly with customers/vendors or through interface with Mohawk personnel:

Researches and resolves loading and delivery problems for national and large customer accounts.

Contributes to the effective and smooth-flowing operations of each warehouse location:

Makes regular visits to each warehouse location and initiate informal discussions with associates.
Keeps abreast of local warehouse issues. Gathers information and responds to feedback.

Plans production operations, establishes priorities and sequences for manufacturing products for the department; monitors production orders or schedules to ensure product(s) are manufactured and scheduled deadlines are met in order to plan department operations; prepares operational schedule and coordinates department activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications; monitors and reports daily production output and operational status.

Works closely with plant safety and quality teams to proactively identify issues and develop and/or enhance related programs and procedures; ensures programs are maintained, the department and plant is in compliance with established standards, and the appropriate training and equipment if given to all employees.

 Four-year college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.  This includes a minimum of 2 years experience supervising employees and a proven track record of implementing cost-saving4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in warehousing and/or logistics operations, including a minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience supervising employees and implementing cost-saving measures.

Demonstrated knowledge of warehousing and logistics operations
Excellent communicator and negotiator, both verbally and written
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and mentor employees
Ability to initiate and work within own schedule and to determine priorities. Ability to exercise good judgment and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve business issues
Ability and willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions to market and sell new ideas within the division
PC proficiency and ability to understand basic mathematical concepts and calculations.
