**A Day in the Life**

The **Senior Applications Software Engineer** will be responsible for an application that manages medical devices

that are primarily used in a surgical setting.

Legacy Windows-based laptop applications will be migrated to a mobile

platform. Initial emphasis will be on

iOS with Android to follow. The

applications interact with a RESTful web service. The position will work with the server team

to coordinate design changes and deployment of the updated applications.


Participatein the selection of the mobile platform and framework.

Workwith legacy application team to port existing device management capabilities tonew application platform.

Designand develop the device management application.

Workwith the server team to coordinate and improve interfaces.

Develop,characterize and validate test methods as needed.

Workwith the security team to ensure the applications are kept up-to-date.


BSin Computer Science or equivalent

5 years of application programming experience

3 years of mobile application programming experience

**Must Have: Minimum Qualifications**

Experiencewith Java or C#.

Experience with HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

Self-starter with strong work ethic andinitiative in accomplishing objectives

Strong organization and time managementskills; ability to manage multiple priorities

Attention to detail, thoroughness

Strong written and verbal communication

Able to work in cross-functional andcross-cultural teams

**Nice to Have**

Familiaritywith Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies.

Experiencewith GUI design and implementation.

Experiencewith git or other modern version control systems.

Experiencewith test automation tools.

Familiaritywith build automation tools.

Provenability to work well in team environment, with sound problem solving skills

Ableto work under deadlines and handle multiple detail-oriented taskssimultaneously

Ableto work independently and across different geographies.

Superiorinterpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicateeffectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability andexpertise

Excellentproblem-solving skills
