Position Summary

The Stemco Distribution Center (SDC) Controller will function as a business partner with the Stemco Distribution Center and financial management to effectively provide financial guidance, support, and leadership to manage the business. The SDC Controller will lead the financial staff at the SDC and is

responsible for integrity of the financial records,

financial analysis, general accounting, payables, order entry, billing, cost accounting, bill of materials, financial reporting, and business planning.

Leads and directs the SDC finance & accounting team. Ensures that a strong internal control environment is maintained and used to prepare the financial records. Ensures compliance with all EnPro policies and procedures.

Ensures accuracy of intercompany transactions (inventory and receivables/payables). Improve reconciliation process and coordinate with manufacturing location finance team to validate procedures are working for all related parties.

Provides required financial information to the division office and others as required by the EnPro reporting calendar to meet the financial reporting needs of the company and to comply with regulatory requirements, especially compliance with the Section 404 provisions of the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002.

Works with her/his team to actively develop new tools to assist management in making sound business decisions across the business.

Understand and effectively communicates key business drivers to all levels of the organization.

Responsible for leading the Distribution financial team, including inventory, general ledger activities, budgeting, and forecasting

Business Partnership with the VP - Logistics and other finance leaders

Ensures there are appropriate accounting policies, processes, systems, tools, infrastructure and sufficient internal controls to meet the financial reporting and operational support needs of the company and to comply with regulatory requirements.

Continually improves business processes within functional area (i.e. month-end close, AR, GL, etc.)

Provide monthly analysis of results against the annual operating plan and prior year.

Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through updating and testing STEMCO financial controls.

Member of the Netsuite ERP Deployment team (50% of time)

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Qualified individual will have a BBA in Accounting or Finance and 7-10 years’ experience; however, a MBA or MACC and 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Freight, Inventory Control, and/or Warehousing is preferred.

Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)

Strong analytical skills

Prior ERP deployment experience desired

Knowledge of GAAP, SOX and other governmental regulations

Proven business leader with strong financial experience

Ability to create and drive a shared vision

Strong cost accounting, financial analysis, and business partnership skills required

This position will report work in a matrix environment with direct reporting to the Director of Finance (FP&A) and support the VP Finance and VP-Logistics.

Required Experience

Qualified individual will have a BBA in Accounting or Finance and 7-10 years’ experience; however, a MBA or MACC and 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Freight, Inventory Control, and/or Warehousing is preferred.
