Position Description

The Permanent position is a member of the SAP Center of Excellence Order to Cash Team for the North America Architectural Coatings and Protective & Marine Coatings Strategic Business Units.  The position will be based in Cranberry, PA.

Key responsibilities include: Daily SAP support activities as well as working on various enhancements and projects. The Analyst/ Consultant will cover SD (Sales & Distribution) module of SAP including related data management and integration with Material Management, EH&S, Finance & Controlling and Production Planning SAP modules. The NA SAP Center of Excellence is an extension of EMEA Center of Excellence with global opportunities.

Business and Technical Skills

Consultants are process and functional experts, providing SAP consulting support within their functional areas of expertise and across adjacent areas while actively seeking ways to apply SAP technology to business processes.  This includes research and identification of enabling functionality based on customer requirements.  Incumbents in this position are challenged to develop and maintain credibility and effective working relations with both customer management and IT personnel in a way that demonstrates an understanding of business problems, as well as IT strategies, governance, issues, and priorities. Incumbents facilitate development of solutions that combine knowl­edge of particular business processes and issues, technological options, and process facilitation techniques. Consultants advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.


Consultants may be called upon to broker services within the IT community on behalf of customers. They coordinate solutions and clarify interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to customers. Incumbents must forge relationships with the global Center of Excellence Members and with SBU IT/Business Management, Business Analysts as well as maintain rapport with other IT groups. Negotiation, influencing and getting to consensus are key attributes of the successful Consultant.

Required Qualifications:

10 years’ experience with strong working knowledge of SAP SD & LE modules SAP ECC 6.0 with a deep understanding of SD / MM / WM / FI process integration to SAP SD and LE modules alongside experience with transportation.

Global experience including at least 2-3 full life cycle implementation and solid experience in production support.

Technical and Functional expertise and experience in configuration of SAP Sales & Distribution and Logistics Execution modules. Including Sales, Shipping, Transportation, Billing, Pricing, Outputs and other SD functions.

New enhancements and routines design & development.

Very good technical understanding of SAP ABAP (code reading and debugging skills).

Interfaces (IDOCS, BAPIs, SAP PI, etc.)

Plan and execute unit testing and support integration and acceptance tests.

Preferred Requirements:

Previous experience in business process re-engineering is required with broad based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.

SAP certifications are a big plus.

Solid technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business.

Competency using SAP Solution Manager toolset for managing changes, transports and incidents is required


Business process analysis, documentation and presentation.

Work in partnership with business users on business requirements, processes, and systems.

Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications and assess alternative solutions.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies/solutions.

Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all manage­ment levels.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing End User Training materials.

Proficient in English speaking & writing.

Self-motivated and pro-active attitude.
