SAP Life SciencesVertical Service LeaderCognizant Technology Solutions is seeking aworld-class SAP Life Sciences Executive to lead and manage key businesssegments with our NA SAP practice. Thiskey executive will focus on SAP initiatives, go-to-market strategies,implementation services, and sales of SAP services across NA, with primaryaccountability for building and growing the SAP Life Sciences business segmentwithin Cognizant. The Executive will be strategically focused,providing inspiring leadership on multiple dimensions \u2013 senior clientleadership, thought leadership, and collaborative leadership within theBusiness Unit and throughout Cognizant Technology Solutions. The successful candidate will have a demonstratedtrack record in providing cost-effective, quality centric and holistic customersolutions, as well as proven success in building and managing trusted advisoryrelationships with top executives and CXOs. The Executive will be recognized for his/her ability to develop deep andsolid client relationships through professional networks, previous clientimpact, and as an SAP domain expert in providing fully integrated IT solutions.In addition, The Executive will have demonstrated a commitment to building abusiness/practice/segment and in developing high performing teams. This Executive willbe responsible for managing a P&L with expectations for continued growth.Responsibilities include managing a large team in NA as they lead SAPengagements and identify, pursue, and win consulting services projects. The candidate musthave both sales and delivery leadership experience and demonstrate proficiencyin leading strategic C-level sales opportunities of cloud based applicationservices. Additionally, the candidatemust have a track record of managing and drivingrevenue growth in a practice with a global delivery model. In addition, the incumbent will:
Provide leadership anddirection to capture and sell holistic/integrated solutions, services, andproducts.
Lead efforts tostrengthen Cognizant\u2019s position in its largest SAP clients, broaden Cognizant\u2019spresence in its other existing clients, and increase Cognizant\u2019s presence withinthe SAP practice.
Develop annualoperational and financial plans and is accountable for performance againstthose plans, including revenue and profit growth, and accurate forecastingagainst plan.
Be responsible forconsistent delivery of services, solutions, and products on time and withincost on a best-value basis, and for developing processes that ensure businessrisks are evaluated, understood and factored into client solutions andservices.
Be responsible forsuccession planning and for establishing practices and procedures to ensuresustainment of the highest professional standards by employees, adherence toCognizant compliance programs, and for building long-lasting relationships withemployees, clients, and business partners.
Provide leadership tosubordinate managers, taking an active role in guiding their professionalgrowth and development.
Work collaborativelywith other leaders within Cognizant, to accomplish Corporate and Business Unitobjectives, to accelerate organic growth, and to increase stakeholdervalue. This individual is expected tocapitalize and leverage Cognizant\u2019s full range of competencies and capabilitiesand sell them back into his/her specific business segment.
Minimum 15 years of experience at a leadingIT services or consulting firm with executive level responsibilities.
Deep Management Consulting background with experience driving sales of services andtrack record of driving revenue growth of an enterprise applications practice.
Significant experience in SAP domain.
Demonstrated experience in SAP serviceofferings.
Demonstrated track record in structuringhigh value customer transformation deals that include significant complexity,and offshore capabilities.
Ability to effectively identify and pursuebusiness development opportunities, serves as a trusted advisor, and interfacewith executive level clients.
Experience managing a P&L of at least$50M.
Verifiable track record of meeting and exceeding quotas every year.
Experiencedin consulting services sales cycles and providing accurate sales forecasts.
Experiencein managing complex sales cycles.
Provenability to lead and operate successfully in a collaborative, globalorganizational structure.
Demonstratedcommitment to building a practice/business unit \u2013 with proven success inleading, growing, and developing a successful team and business base.
Abilityto travel as required.
Charismaticand driven business/sales leader.
Mature interpersonaland influencing skills, especially at senior levels.
Effectiveproblem-solving skills, with the ability to \u201cdrive\u201d through change.
Beentrepreneurial, enterprising, collaborative and personable.
Possesssound business acumen and strong leadership skills.
Have significant experience with the globaldelivery service model.
Master\u2019s Degree or MBA strongly preferred.
