Position Description:

Identify

, research and secure vendor sourcing of non-core non-stock items requested by the Lawson and Kent Sales Teams. Calculate commission schedules and manage net profit margins. Maintain accuracy of NCNS data library.

Responsibilities:

Prioritizes requests and complete non-core non-stock quotations within the Specials Team metric goals. Focus on increasing productivity and profitability to improve the customer's experience. (15%)

Identifies product attributes requested by the Sales Team or directly from customers including size, material, quantity, and all related specifications. (15%)

Research the non-core non-stock item request within the core, non-core product line offerings for best action course to

fulfill

the customer's request. (15%)

Establish business relationships with new vendors and utilizes existing vendors to formalize profitable cost/price margins, quality,

quantity

, and

fulfillment

lead times. (15%)

Net profit margin review. (15%)

Develops formalized quotation documents within the Specials Team ISO guidelines. Creates the non-core non-stock part numbers or recommends exiting part numbers for order

fulfillment

Strong Customer Service skill set to mediate problematic situations with customers, Sales Teams, vendors and numerous internal teams to reach a mutually beneficial and profitable resolution. (10%)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or 2 to 5 years related experience in the MRO field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic understanding of Business Intelligence and LEAN Six Sigma concepts from on the job training.

Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of individual and team AIP goals

Working knowledge of MRO related products including, but not limited to: Automotive, Chemicals, Cutting Tools, Electrical, Fasteners, Fluid Power, Hand Tools,

Safety

, and Welding.

Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities in order to complete quotations in a timely manner and handle multiple quotations simultaneously.

Strong communication skills are required for daily interaction with customers, sales teams,

teammates

, internal

teams

, and vendors.

Working knowledge of Microsoft office suites and ability to learn new computer programs such as SAP.

Proficient in online researching.
