Replenishment Forecast AnalystJ.Crew - New York City, NY
The Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing forecasts for the planning & distribution teams in all brands. The Analyst will partner with brand and divisional leads to identify forecasting opportunities, envision and build effective strategies, improve the accuracy and viability of exiting basics forecasts, and prepare pre-season forecasts for short-season fashion merchandise and new product introductions. This individual should have excellent excel and data analysis skills as well as an understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and general supply chain topics.
*Execute the creation and maintenance of seasonal forecasting profiles for Fashion and Basic merchandise, as well as support policy configurations to optimize the forecast by brand and product category *Identify the correct levers for tuning forecasts
*Seasonal profiles, forecasting parameters, rates of sales, etc.
*Pre-Season, the analyst will work with distribution and planning on basics forecasts, laying the foundation for the pre-season basics receipt plan *In-Season, the analyst will analyze, diagnose, and resolve forecasting issues and opportunities *The analyst will also support the training and development of distribution analysts and planners on forecasting topics *Additionally, the analyst will partner with the Information Technology department to assist with business requirements creation and user acceptance testing (UAT) of existing and new technology solutions
*Ability to build strong relationships and effectively contribute on cross-functional teams *Skilled in utilizing business and financial acumen to create and evaluate strategic opportunities *Experience working with forecast with one or more of the following applications
*Demand Chain Management (DCM), Manugistics, Retek, SAP, I2, Oracle Retail, etc.
*Ability to query directly against the database via SQL to perform analysis on forecasts *Experience translating complicated concepts into understandable business language *Strong presentation and communication skills *Ability to deal with conflict; strong conflict resolution skills *Experience gathering business requirements, process modeling and supporting user acceptance
*3 to 5 years of experience in retail forecasting, replenishment and/or inventory management *Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology, or related field required
